and if I remember correctly, Nicole isn't his and Brenda's biological - I believe she was the daughter of Sheila E's brother, and Lionel and Brenda adopted her.

Parents are often heartbroken about the things that are happening in our adult children's lives. Most of us did our best to raise the kids that we love. Life is unpredictable. Bad things can happen.
I know how Mr. Richie probably feels. I have also lost my daughter, who I love more than life itself. If it would bring her back, I would gladly cut off my arm or leg, right now. Without hesitation.
If you saw your child or even talked to them, over these holidays... you are more blessed than you can possibly imagine.
