The word 'purity' would inevitably mean different things to different people perceiving it in these circumstances. @JL: Not true. I have 2 friends who adopted kids in the U.S. One lives in California and they have what is called a foster/adopt program. She & her husband initially got their two kids as foster children and once it was determined that the children would be put up for adoption, they were able to adopt them. I have another friend in CT who also adopted from the US and, I can assure you, they did not use a surrogate/ baby seller.
The reason why Angie adopted from other countries is because she would never have been approved by an adoption agency in the US, given her drug use and mental health issues. As it is, two out of three of her adoptions are shady. The woman who arranged the Maddox adoption wound up in jail.
