With a new law passed, this A+ list couple decided to pay a visit to the country to see if there is anything that can save their surrogate farm from being closed.

She was a surrogate or donated her eggs? Seven times being pregnant sounds crazy unless you're a Duggar.

Also being pregnant seven times is gonna take longer than a doctorate. Such horseshit.

Being pregnant non-stop seven times? Not only does this sound fake, but it's unhealthy and pretty odd [people would see you pregnant for over 5.25 years]. Right.

It would take easy 12+ years to be pregnant 7 times, even if she was super healthy, total bullhsit

Some people do get pregnant back to back, within weeks of one pregnancy ending, but seven times back to back? No.

I'd think Unknown's friend was probably an egg donor, but, unfortunately if her deafness was congenital I can't imagine her selling a lot of eggs.

One of my friends was having difficulties pursuing adoption here in the states, so decided on surrogacy. The eggs came from a woman here but in a different state, and were implanted in a surrogate who lived in India. When the baby was born, my friend had to move to India for a month to establish residency, before being able to claim legal parentage. And all of this was cheaper and *less* of a hassle than doing it all locally. This was 5 years ago and India was already starting to pass anti-surrogacy laws. The child is so beautiful and cherished. Hard to imagine they might not even be in this world if the crackdowns had begun just a few months sooner. And my friend may never have had a chance at parenthood.

On the other hand the cherished/loved baby’s parents may now have money to pay for the kid’s college or give the kid a down payment for a house or pay for other expenses. And the indian surrogate has some money to pay for her and her family’s expenses. Sounds like a win/win to me

Also college, while pregnant, for seven years. Sounds like bs to me

@Mstyles
You're vile and I tend to scroll right past you and normally wouldn't respond to you at all. And I really won't here, except to say that you make a lot of assumptions. And again, you're terrible and everyone knows it. Bless your heart.

Starting from freshman all the way to doctorate takes some time, it's possible. Especially with any gap years thrown in.

Well we just solved the student loan crisis folks. Hook all those coeds and recent graduates up with surrogacy programs, what a country.

And these poor children know their parents sold their eggs (children) to strangers for money. So, these children's mothers sold them. It is never OK to buy people. It happens, and it always will, but it is never OK.

Jne said...

Lots of men sell their swimmers( children) to strangers for money as well. Where’s the outrage?

Rene said...

Agree 100% with @Mstyles.

@Autumn, you're what we call a rocket in Glasgow. @Sara do you have any regard for your friends surrogate what-so-ever? I doubt she would have benefited from much of the money paid out to the surrogate 'farm'.

Those are two foul human beings.. I don't care for either of them

I want the three fucking minutes back that I wasted on this blind, besides @Sara

I don't know if Jay or Beyonce (hell, I don't think she knows what's going on in day to day life) have a surrogate 'farm' in India, but what I do know is that those women are treated horribly.
Sure, if you're in high demand, you might even get your own room and halfway decent food.
Soon after, whence you've given birth 4,5 or 6 times, you live on a cot jammed up with 20 other women in one small room. No toilets. No nothing. It's fucking sickening.
