Blind Item #4
One of the reasons that this former A list athlete took his own life was he feared his biggest secret being revealed. It remains to be seen if that will occur now because there really is no need to bring it to the light of day.

Hernandez?
ReplyDeleteAaron Hernandez/Patriots secret maybe
DeleteThe pairs skater who took his own life this week.
ReplyDeleteJohn Coughlin ice skater
ReplyDeleteMaybe he was closeted??
DeleteJohn Coughlin
ReplyDeleteToo late about the secret. Deadspin is reporting there were several accusations of sexual contact with minors.
ReplyDeleteyeah theres several accusations and he was suspended
ReplyDeleteCoughlin was working as a skating coach, maybe had some #metoo stuff
ReplyDeleteGotta be on Coughlin and abuse allegations.
ReplyDeleteCOughlin "had his eligibility to participate in figure skating restricted on Dec. 17, 2018. SafeSport enacts these measures whenever allegations of abuse are brought up against an individual,"
ReplyDeleteSorry - USA Today broke the story, not Deadspin, which just re-reported USA Today's story.
ReplyDeleteTwo minors and one person over 18, gender unspecified.
He was losing his coaching and commentator jobs and sponsorships because of the complaints.
After he died this weekend several female skaters were on Twitter denouncing those who were mourning his death. According to them his targets were female.
ReplyDeleteEvery sport has its own scandal, because sex is at the root of everything...
ReplyDeleteRead somewhere that his partner was 17 after he broke with his previous partner. The other skater was at the top of her game at the time.
ReplyDeleteWell at least it wasn't kiddie porn.
ReplyDeleteHow is a male figure skater an A List athlete?
ReplyDeleteAt least he wasnt buggering kids and took the honorable way out
ReplyDelete@gradybridges,he was a U.S. Nationals Champion, and also an announcer. Enty often stretches both ways with ratings.
ReplyDeleteIt would have been nicer if he'd offed himself before he started abusing people.
ReplyDeleteThe blind makes no sense. His biggest secret could clear him,or vindicate his accusers, who are going to be held responsible for his suicide. People will likely speculate worse than what it is,if anything. The accusations should be made public.
ReplyDelete'former A list.' former or present, i never heard of the coughlin guy until his death.
ReplyDeleteI can't see this being Coughlin. He's not former A list. I would also argue that abuse is not a "secret" someone keeps, that wouldn't need to be brought to the light of day. Like Guesser said, abuse would always need to be brought to the light of day to either clear him or to vindicate the accusers.
ReplyDeleteI think this is Hernandez. He was gay.
He was a US champion, that made him a former a list. I keep thinking what is worse than underage girls and I think he did something to his sister.
ReplyDeleteI mean. Is it really a secret if Enty knew?
ReplyDeleteCool story, bro. What a nothing blind.
He probably got away with it for so long because no could believe a male figure skater wasn't gay.
ReplyDeleteAaron Hernandez secret life came out when he wrote a letter to his gay prison lover that was found after he killed himself. So not him. It's the figure skater and sexual molestation charges. He killed himself before the truth came out over the weekend.
ReplyDeletePersonal shame is like a disease. Nobody should ever take their own life.
ReplyDeleteLots of child molesters kill themselves because they know they will never stop wanting to rape children. Perhaps this is the secret.
ReplyDeleteJohn Coughlin was definitely A list in his sport. You win Nationals I'd say that's pretty high on the list. Worlds/Olympics would put you at A+.
ReplyDeleteThey should go after Richard Callaghan, who has gotten away with abusing male skaters for years. He gets a pass because he doesn't diddle female skaters. He's the perv everyone should be after.
