Box.
Out of a box sorry to say but more like already prepared like a Bob Evans or Cracker Barrell than Krafts shit or that Velveeta crap.
I make it from scratch in my InstaPot. Heavenly!
Always make it with lashings of strong cheddar and a bit of mustard....sometimes with some crispy bacon thrown in....mmmhhh
Not really on my menu. Suspect I might have gotten burnt out on it as a kid.
Home made using real sharp cheddar cheese not that velvet a or cheese wiz crap.
If you have ever had the real thing, you can never eat the other crap.
+1 Brayson
I'll eat it out of a box - prefer Annies, BUT I almost always make it myself. Lots of cheddar, cream, and green chiles.
There is no bad Mac and cheese, only different levels of good
Kraft has a garlic & herb white cheddar version that is the BEST fight me.
I make mine from Scrap and keep some frozen for the grandchildren.
Children love Mac n Cheese
Velveeta shells with sauteed SPAM is hands-down the best quick meal on earth!
both!
Box. Don't overthink Mac n Cheese.
Same here. Annie's and sometimes the Kraft microwavable bowls are the only boxed mac and cheese I will eat and that's only if there's a time crunch. I prefer doing mine from scratch.
Homemade because it tastes better. I do keep a couple boxes of Annie's Mac N Cheese on the shelf for dinner emergencies.
Usually from the box but Central Market makes the best mac n cheese in their prepared foods section.
I make it myself in a pressure cooker.
Home made.
I make mac and cheese both ways. It depends on the day.
I like Kraft 3 cheese mac n cheese gonna have to give yours a shot!
Scratch always. I've never had it out of the box!
OOB Kraft
Always from scratch using good aged NY cheddar. Slices of tomato on top.Was my son's favorite growing up. Now he's a vegan. (Sigh)
Both: sometimes you just need that neon orange cheesy goodness of your youth!
Does heating up Stouffer's count as making it?
Homemade - Always!!!
Only in dire emergencies will I use a box.
Homemade - you can add extra ingredients. Always make a large batch to cover a few lunches.
Kraft Macaroni & Cheese is the best!
Even left over and reheated in the microwave.
Don't like imitation, fake cheese so always homemade. Easy to make a low-cal white sauce with a dab of mustard & A-1. Then add sharp cheddar cheese.
Semi-homemade...start with a box of Kraft & add extra cheeses & extra milk. If I’m feeling inspired, add in fried hamburger, kidney beans & sautéed onions. Sounds kinda gross, but it is tasty!
I do the box Mac and cheese. Add some cooked hamburger to it and some of my family members put ketchup on it. I do not.
OMG, make it from scratch! It's pretty easy, really. Martha Stewart's Mac and Cheese is very, very good!
Box, baby! Sometimes with green peas when I'm feeling extra basic.
Your version sounds divine!
I HATE mac and cheese. But my kids like the boxed stuff so they "cook" that when Mr. Kay and I go out for date night.
Love both aaand deep fried Mac n cheese bites.
Restaurant. Try to limit my intake of things like Mac n Cheese, so if I’m gonna have it, I want it to be great & preferably with lobster.
Out of a huge 180 serving bucket from Costco with a 20 yr shelf life, of course! HA! Kidding, but did you hear about this stuff? Its officially out of stock riht now, and has been hitting the news lately. Yuck.
Publix has the very best mac n cheese I have ever had. You need to look thru the packages in the prepacked deli case because some are 'juicier' than others (more cheesy sauce) but damnnn...its pretty good. Great for sick days.
OT but lately they have been making spicy fried chicken 8piece boxes at my Publix and omg its amazing stuff.
Both. Out of the box on busy days, homemade on special occasions.
Make two boxes at once. Pour the finished mac and cheese into a baking pan. Add more shredded cheese and bread crumbs on top. Bake 15 minutes.
Neither - I’m not a fan of pasta, probably because I ate it every Sunday for the first 16 years of my life (usually with red sauce). Rice noodles on the other hand...
I've never eaten it.
Out of the box - Kraft
Microwavable - Cracker Barrel
Scratch - I'm not that talented or motivated.
Yuck
KRAFT SPIRALS ARE THE ONLY THING.
I have had a lot of homemade mac and cheese and I make it myself that gets great reviews from other people.
I will only eat Kraft spirals with the day glo powder. Call me whatever you want. This, Wonder bread and JiF peanut butter are sometimes the only thing that can make me feel okay about whatever bullshit is happening.
Mac and Cheese is vile. Really dont understand why Americans think it is tasty.
Scratch. Delicious. I have been able to replicate the recipe that was served at one of my old schools, Babington House. Those ladies made the best lunches ever. Don’t even get me started on their apple crisp with treacle.
@JJ said... "Velveeta shells with sauteed SPAM."
Sounds very Hawaiian.
Velveeta Shells and Cheese (box)
Used to make it and bake it but ain't nobody got time for that!
Box & then I add stuff to it, depending on my mood. Tuna fish, extra cheese, etc.
Not sure if they still do it, but years ago Kraft reps would pick up the outdated Kraft singles from grocery stores and they would be shipped back to the macaroni and cheese factory, where they turn the single slices into the orange powder.
We don’t really eat that here in Australia. Is it really good? Is
