Hey Nutty - interesting note about "Sue" as a nickname, I'd not ever heard that.
Do you think it could be a British thing? I'm in NYC and hang with a wide swath of gaybirds and have never heard it.
That said, I have been watching Queer As Folk episodes for the first time and I asked my pal if the term "nelly" like "you're just a big nelly queen" was actually a word/term and he confirmed yes absolutely - so clearly I don't hear everything.
Gay guy here.... - judy is a dated moniker that older queens called each other in honor of judy garland - kiki is a quick but dishy conversation. As in ‘we need a kiki to spill the tea about that old queen Judy other there....’ - never heard of Sue as a nickname, etc.
