Mindy Khaling!
I meant ?
I’m going with Mindy K
whoever it is .. good for them.
except they need to be prepared to change their life forever. (i've had it.)
Melissa McCarthy?
Any Pohler?
I thought most celebrities went the Janet Jackson route and just got a little nip/tuck instead of working out and eating right
Well, it certainly isn't Lena Dunham. I saw a recent photo of her, yesterday, and she has gained back every pound she has ever lost and then some.
On second thought, maybe it is her. But she only had one hit show, I think.
Melissa McCarthy doesn't have several hit shows. I think your right with either Mindy or Amy.
I can't believe any doctor would perform weightloss surgery on anyone who isn't morbidly obese. Mariah had maybe 60 or 70 lbs to lose. I don't think Poehler has more than 55 - 60 lbs to lose.
@Do Tell, are you for real? Amy doesn't need to lose 55+ lbs.
Mindy is naturally fat. It's her body type. I don't know that any surgery would make her thin/thinner. Amy was thin at one point, so I'll go with that guess.
Amy has gotten chunky. And she is short, even shorter than me. I am the same way and I know what it looks like on that kind of a frame, I'm losing the weight but people don't believe from looking at me that I would have that much to lose, they are wrong. From the last photo I've seen of her, she probably does need to lose 45 to 55 lbs.
Melissa was on at least Gilmore Girls and Mike & Molly. I wouldn't rule her out for this.
lol
No Lena Dunham votes yet?
@Kate0704 - Thanks! I didn't know that she was on Gilmore Girls.
Amy is only about 20 to 25 pounds due to menopause. Mariah was at about 35. Depends on the height too.
Funny, I seem to be the only one thinking Kristie Alley but not sure if she hits all those categories.
Mindy K is a good guess since she got those ridiculous lip fillers last year.
My friend had a gastric band and I don't know about Raven's experience but yes my friend (who'd lived most of her life slim) lost the weight but now she can gain ten pounds in a week if she doesn't watch herself.
It's a serious solution for a serious issue.
Neither of these women should qualify for that procedure. Mindy just has lingering baby weight. Without the full mental and physical commitment to change, the person can "pop" the band, and end up back where they were, or worse. There are quick results, but lasting ones aren't guaranteed.
They are rarely doing the lap Band now because it has many complications and just not worth it. People Are now getting the sleeve gastrectomy instead. Only Melissa would actually medically qualify for the sleeve and to be covered by insurance. But if they are paying out of pocket then a bad surgeon will do it on anyone.
+1 I am almost a year out and still making changes. 10000000% worth it tho!
Congrats, Muckduck!!😁
Why 'good for them?' Why not just... work out and eat less shit?
I didn’t think the dr’s liked to operate on the morbidly obese and preferred they lose some weight on their own, because weight loss surgery gets riskier the heavier he person is.
@ Jon - Check out the early episode of The Office. Mindy was not fat then. Actually I don't think she's fat now. I would call her chubby or voluptuous.
I have a friend from high school who had lap band surgery. She lost a ton of weight, and has maintained it, because she eats very little. But everything she eats is garbage. Very fattening, unhealthy food. I’m waiting for the heart attack, sad to say.
Mindy and Amy are normal sizes in real life. It's the television that makes them look a tiny bit bigger than the size 0 actresses next to them.
Lap band surgery: whoever is morbidly obese will need to get excess skin removed because it won't shrink after a certain amount of weight and age combined.
