Apparently the celebrity husband is throwing the celebrity wife under the criminal bus in this highly publicized case. At least that is what the wife has been telling people.
DarylsBigFan: you are comparing two different things. The 15K was to have someone else take one of the admission tests. The 250K was to pretend to be on the rowing team and gain entrance as an athlete.
Sounds like Massimo and Lori...daughters supposedly blaming parents...sounds like that family is destroyed, for sure. Didn't he also use their house as his collateral, but not hers? Not exactly chivalrous!
Also, Lori is caught on audiotape saying that she agreed to pay the money as a school donation so as to avoid IRS issues to the guy she paid the $500K. This will not be pretty.
Macy and the actress he's married to. She probably had much more to do with the bribery thing so it's not really throwing her under the bus, although I'm sure she sees it that way.
Why would Giannulli need to put up the house for bail? Does he not have any liquidity ? @Lynn I still don't think that explains the numbers. There's more to this story and I doubt this was only about college admissions.
This wasn't just about admissions. This is why they're pushing them to accept plea deals "or be presented with other charges." If they plea they're getting off easy: money laundering, IRS tax fraud, etc., etc.,
That whole college bribe thing is such a shitshow. They're prosecuting the tiniest fraction of a fraction of students/parents that are actually involved. Why? What of the ones that did the same (and worse) and graduated? And got high level jobs? Jobs like those that are now investigating this very crime? This crap has been going on for *decades* - and they know it. Everyone knows it. Getting all righteous about it now seems farcical.
Macy didn’t get charged b/c they will not have him discussing possibly changing the younger daughter’s test scores, but they didn’t go through with it. Hence there was “no overt act.”
Daryl, as Lynn mentioned above, Laughlin paid for a premium service that would guarantee admission into USC. Huffman just paid to have her daughter’s test answered altered after the fact. There still is no guarantee of admission and it’s pretty easy to erase bubbles & fill in the correct ones.
I don’t have kids. Maybe I won’t ever. But there’s no fucking way I’m dropping six figures on the brat to get into college if the little idiot couldn’t get accepted on their own. What the fuck?
I hope they all lay under a bus and get rolled over. Reprehensible people. The main players are SINGER and TOBIN, who have both cut deals (naturally). Hollywood is a cesspool.
Macy's been visibly supportive of Huffman throughout this ordeal, from her arraignment to all her court appearances. It's definitely Loughlin/Giannulli.
P.S. Seven different screens of captcha images I have to go through? This isn't Fort Knox for chrissakes!
William H. Macy, and his desperate housewife.
ReplyDeleteLori Laughlin?
ReplyDelete+1 Simon. Mass imo is a douche
DeleteCan’t be Macy because he was not charged
ReplyDeleteI'm going with Macy/ Huffman. He is under suspicion, not charged as yet.
ReplyDeleteI can’t see Macy doing this. Going with Loughlin’s husband.
ReplyDeleteWhy did Giannulli paid 250 k for his kid's USC admission? ....
ReplyDeletewhile Huffman and Macy paid only 15k?
Is that maybe why Olivia was found on Rick Caruso's 100 million dollar yacht?
This story will get much bigger. Imo...

ReplyDeleteGreat paying tv jobs

People just need to learn to distinguish “acquirement of knowledge” with “higher education institutions”.
ReplyDeleteLook at all the money these fools are paying to have their children transformed into THIS: https://youtu.be/qUvf3fOmTTk
Very sad.

mossimo stole the money he was supposed to use to go to college himself and used it instead to start his business. The guy is kind of sketch

Isn't Macy one several well known Hollywood husband's that has been rumored to be abusive?
