Throughout Salva's tribulations, Copola has remained a loyal patron. After Salva's release from prison he gave him $5000 which he lived on for a year. When MGM was nervous about hiring him to direct "Jeepers Creepers" Coppola then producing a slate of films for them at the studio vouched for him.
"Someone had launched a campaign against Victor saying 'How can you give this guy a movie to make?' recalls Coppola, "So I helped Victor get the job. My attitude is he has talent and that talent in itself is good. We don't have to embrace the person in believing that their art is a contribution to society."
Coppola was involved in the filming of "Clownhouse" since part of the film was shot at his house in Napa Valley. "I didn't know anything improper was going on although I witnessed some things that caused me to raise an eyebrow", he says. "Only in retrospect did things add up. You have to remember, that while this is a tragedy, the difference in age between the boy and Victor was very small -Victor was practically a child himself". (Actually Victor was 29 and the boy was 12)

It does not matter if Victor Salva has talent. What matters is that he is a pedophile and nothing will change that.
Before #metoo, Rose McGowan was asked in a magazine article about her previously acting in a movie directed by Victor Salva, in light of his conviction for child molestation. Her responses was essentially claiming not much knowledge of the underlying facts and not caring about that situation.
He visited Salva in prison years ago. Question is - why then? Why did he fiance Salva's films? What was the purpose of the visit? What was Francis' agenda? Was it a favor for someone else? All in all disappointing, and many answers to the mystery still linger.
Rose McGowan is a piece of lying shit. Total psychopath, and has attracted one to her side. Why is FF Coppola trying to do damage control now? Hollywood is such a cesspool if shit and shitty people.
I want to know how someone lives on $5000 a year.

I was trying to figure out the same thing! Were they missing a few zeros? Was this the 1950s? There is no way he could live off $5,000 for a year in California. Maybe three months if he was very careful and never left his residence.
Salva has dirt on Coppola. Or on some other friend of Coppola's. Spielberg?
