The B+ list actress who is in a big fake relationship would probably only get "engaged," if there was a People cover involved. Why go through with the charade without maximum publicity.

    She's gambling he will get enough press to push her career, however at the present time his candidacy is so insignificant, he may have to be one of the first to drop out. So she doesn't get the press she wants. And he disappears from her life.
