Anything not named Shallow👏
In honor of the 50th anniversary of "Midnight Cowboy", I'll say "Everybody's Talkin'" by Nilsson
Or "Into the Fire" from "Goodfellas", again Nilsson
The soundtrack to Sense & Sensibility and Rainbow Connection, The Muppets. I'm totally serious!
Use of a song or original....use-Tiny Dancer/Almost Famous maybe.
Original... hmmm Stay was great from Reality Bites by Entys friend Lisa Loeb.So was Dont Wanna Fall In Love/Pump Up the Volume-Aaron Neville. Tough question
You're so cool from True Romance.
I will always love you and the whole Bodyguard soundtrack.
The Roxanne mashup from Moulin Rouge
Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, Diamonds are Forever
The Pink Panther theme
The Star Wars theme
I could go on.
As far as soundtracks go, the 1998 Avengers movie with Ralph Fiennes, Uma Thurman, and Sean Connery is outstanding. The movie- not so much.
All great suggestions. I LOVED True Romance! Remember Brad all buzzed out on the sofa? LOL
Donnie Darko...tears for fears...head over heels...
Probably Bitter Sweet Symphony from Cruel Intentions. Idk if its my favorite, or just the most memorable tome. Happened to have an interesting backstory I never knew about write up yesterday

So many-Love my Way -Valley Girl
Somebody’s baby-Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Everything from Pulp Fiction lol
Blowers Daughter-Closer
I’ll stop now😂
I love El Tango de Roxanne!
Moon River, from Breakfast At Tiffany, which is also among my favorite movies. Audrey playing the guitar and singing it is particularly and uniquely lovely.
Probably "Uninvited" by Alanis Morrissette. But ask me in an hour and it'd probably be something else.
Holiday Road by Lindsey Buckingham, Live and Let Die, Don't you forget about me. Blow and Gross Point Blank soundtracks.
Runnerup for me is Urge Overkill's take on Neil Diamond's "Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon", which just makes that brilliant Uma Thurman scene in "Pulp Fiction" that much better.
Every time I hear "I Melt With You" I think of that movie, which I love!
I’m also partial to the reality bites soundtrack 😉
Too many
but if i i have to chose just one, Father and Son, from Rock Boat( and ANATHEMA To anyone that says From Guardians of the GAlaxy )
That song just makes me" feel", and when i saw that my son loved it, from that movie, made me feel even more :)
Speak Softly Love from the Godfather.

Money by Ringside from Magic Mike
🤘🏼
Some of my faves that haven’t been mentioned:
Complete Soundtracks:
Requiem for a Dream —also best song title with “Marion Barfs”
Stranger Things Soundtrack
The Music of Harry Potter and the accursed Child by Imogean Heap — look a tie in with yesterday’s question!!!!
Songs from Soundtracks that I pump to 11:
Black Sheep by Metric ( Scott Pilgrim)
The Perfect Drug by NIN ( The Lost Highway)
New Version of You (Felicity Season 3 & 4 Theme Song)
Singles soundtrack brings back memories!
Tons. But I'll say 2: Old Soulsfrom Phantom of the Paradise, and Look Up To The Sky by the Indians played during the closing credits of Kalifornia.
The Batman Forever (Jim Carrey was The Riddler) soundtrack is soooo goood!!!! Tied with the Singles soundtrack. The 90s had some amazing music.
Honorable mention:This Woman’s Work/She’s Having A Baby-Kate Bush. That scene was —poignant. Perfect song
Audrey Hepburn playing the ukulele and singing Moon River in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Best of All Time: 'The Trio' from the Good, The Bad and the Ugly soundtrack, even better than Ecstasy of Gold or opening credits, you can really feel the tension of the scene...
Then:
'Respect The Wind' by Van Halen from the end of Twister and
'Gentle on my Mind' by Lucinda Williams from the end of Talladega Nights - can't buy as a standalone track on iTunes, would love to.
'Can't help falling in love with you' from the Snapper
I know I'll remember more as soon as I post but that's enough for now...
Aaaargh! Caddyshack!
Bee Gees! Saturday Night Fever! - bought the dvd just for the opening song with the close up of Tony's feet walking.
Yes! Constant Sorrow from O' Brother! I think is the only other soundtrack after Pulp Fiction I ever bought all of and listened to/loved all of.
Barber's Adagio from Platoon ( or maaaaybe it's Mahler's 5th...?)
The best ones
Ooo! Oooo! One more! One more!
'Burning Bridges' by the Mike Curb Congregation from Kelly's Heroes!
I think it's clear that our imaginary get together would have stellar tunes!🎵🎶
Rocky Horror Picture Show. Saturday Night Fever. Grease. Pick any song from any one of those. Hey, Caddyshack! Yeah, that too. That gopher was pure gold.

West Side Story
Henry Mancini - stellar music transports instantly to childhood with its intimations of West Coast Jazz
Purple Rain
A Hard Day's Night
The Magnificent Seven
And a shit ton more...
Say What You Want from Picture Perfect.
So many good ones have already been mentioned. I'm going to add a favorite soundtrack of mine.... Next Stop Wonderland. This was my introduction to Bossa Nova, and have been listening to it ever since. Lovely movie as well.
Purple rain, oh brother where art thou
Bee Gees - Saturday Night Fever
Grease
So Far So Good - Sheena Easton - About Last Night
Lunatic Fringe - Vision Quest
Love theme from Romeo and Juliet, movie 1969.
Immortal Beloved, Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 Finale
@Spitbite Adagio for Strings
Unmade - Suspiria
So, so many to mention. I should give a special shoutout, though, to the faux-80's pop song that was written specifically for "Music & Lyrics", "Pop Goes My Heart". It was SO perfectly done and produced that it really could have been a huge hit in 1985. And Hugh Grant was perfect in the music video for it and in the movie as the washed up pop star. The video is well worth checking out on YouTube because they got everything *so* dead on.
When Doves Cry (but basically the whole Purple Rain ST)
Layla - Goodfellas
Tiny Dancer - Almost Famous
Hazy Shade of Winter - Less Than Zero
Wild horses by The Sundays on the movie 'Fear'
“Gollum’s Song” - Emilíana Torrini (The Lord of the Rings soundtrack)
“The Steward of Gondor” - Billy Boyd (The Lord of the Rings soundtrack)
Also the whole Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack! Especially “Sally’s Song” and Jack’s Lament.”
'Falling Slowly' from Once.
'Layla' from Goodfellas
Princess Leia's theme from The Empire Strikes Back
Megadeth~In My Darkest Hour from the decline of western civilization part 2
New Order Blade Opening scene
Ce Sera Sera
The Man Who Knew Too Much
Sounds of Silence/ The Graduate
A Song for You by Willie Nelson in Honeysuckle Rose...Into the Mystic by Van Morrison in the movie Immediate Family...In the City by the Eagles in the movie Urban Cowboy...the entire Purple Rain soundtrack, but the song Purple Rain, in particular...I'm Alright by Kenny Loggins from Caddyshack...I'm gonna agree with Tricia for this one, This Woman's Work by Kate Bush from She's Having A Baby...Moving In Stereo by The Cars in Fast Times at Ridgemont High...I'm also going to agree with whoever said Lunatic Fringe by Red Rider from Vision Quest...It's in the Way That You Use It by Eric Clapton from The Color of Money...
