This permanent A+ list director/actor hired someone to keep the lead actor in his movie from drinking after the actor showed up late three days in a row.
I agree with Eastwood/Hamm. This sounds like a constructive solution that is good for movie, and might save Jon's career. I hope this works for all involved.
Ron Howard?
ReplyDeleteRon Howard does not appear to be shooting any movies according to IMDB.

ReplyDeleteHe seems to be following Gandolfini's pattern but I don't think Gandolphini got projects that are even half as good as this movie may be.
ReplyDeleteFool.
Eastwood is 89! I wonder how much of the day to day directing work he does.

ReplyDeleteA movie not shot in Britain, obviously.
ReplyDeleteWhy doesn't he just fire Hamm and get someone else?
ReplyDeleteI just saw Hamm in Good Omens. That was such a "phoned it in" performance.
ReplyDeleteHamm was so good in Mad Men.
ReplyDeleteThat was quite a few years ago
ReplyDeleteChris Penn once told me after working with Clint, is "He's shoots, prints and moves on."
ReplyDeleteIf you upset his schedule, you could be out of his film.
@Thia.
ReplyDeleteGood Omens was very disappointing. I stuck with it as long as I could but in the end those insufferable kids were too much. Appalling child acting.
Thanks for the review, Flashy!
ReplyDeleteI've only seen commercials for Good Omens, but even they were awful.
ReplyDeleteYou would think if someone had a chance to work with Clint Eastwood, they would try harder for him.
Sometimes people can't get out of the way of their own addictions and/or self sabotage, shakey.
