Blind Items Revealed #5

September 18, 2019

This A list dual threat actress with a huge sequel coming to a movie and stars on a hit television show was ticked off that producers of a third threat production would even think they could land her for what is essentially this decade's version of a role for a celebrity like there was one for Grease two decades ago or Chicago last decade. It is a stunt casting role. Then, they used her rejection for more publicity.

Kristen Bell/Frozen 2/The Good Place/Waitress

  4. It IS a kind of funny way to cope with rejection when you're going for publicity anyway.

Has anyone seen the theatrical version of Waitress? I heard it was charming, but haven't seen it.

    1. @Vita: My 15-year-old niece saw it with her cousins (they’re around the same age) and they all loved it!

  7. @Vita: Yes, it is pretty good, and has some nice music too. I guess I don't see what her problem is with that show, sure it's not Les Mis or Phantom, but it's still pretty good.

  8. Aquagirl and Fairylights-- thanks for reviews!

TwoDots-- I think the success of Frozen and upcoming sequel alone put her up there, then add Bad Moms, Good Place, Veronica Mars, ad campaigns...she's had a pretty good run going on

  9. She started off in theater. I really hope she isn't an A-hole actor. Don't go to the dark side, K.Bell

  10. Holy shit. I'm not even gonna try with this one. A sentence should be limited to two lines max, that's all I'll say

    1. Why? Are you limited in your intellect?

    2. @stigwig Because it’s called using punctuation, asshat. Someone who is limited in their intellect might understand that gibberish though, so please tell us what it says.

  11. Grease had a stage revival in the 90s. I saw it on Broadway. Brooke Shields was Rizzo.

  12. Am mystified by Bell's popularity. Thought she was badly miscast in A Good Place, her style is preppy do gooder so I just don't buy her foul mouthed unpleasant character in it. Saw her in an awful film with Christina Aguilera and Cher where she plays some sort of femme fatale dancer and it wasn't convincing in the slightest. She has a very good agent or very good connections...

  14. bootsy I feel the same about you and Bell in Good Place, its partially why I can't get into it, just like I can never ever buy Bill Hader as a serial killer

  15. @ Krissie Yeah actually now you mention it I think that's why I can't get into that Bill Hader show! No way is he an ex soldier mercenary killer etc
