Rarely breakfast, but I can't throw out pizza! It usually makes it to the microwave, but only gets the formal, recommended oven reheat when it's part of leftovers night when family is in town. You know, bc we're fancy like that, lol
Cold for sure but I actually like to leave it out all night and then have a slice for breakfast but it skeeves my husband out so I now eat it right out of the fridge. He is the type that if milk is out longer than 5 minutes he gets all worked up.
I used to have a pizza Nazi in my old neighborhood. He used to give me specific directions on how to reheat it in my toaster oven & made me promise him that I would do it. He told me that if I didn’t promise, he wouldn’t sell me pizza anymore. I did it once, and it’s an excellent method, but cold is just so much better. (And much more expedient.)
I literally craved and lived on thin crust pizza with anchovy and onion for a time. I'd buy the large and probably couldn't eat two pieces, but it was all about the leftovers. NO I didn't refrigerate - that's weird. It's cooked and it just gets better overnight. Especially with anchovies, that sort of pervade the whole crispy crust. mmmm been a while No need to heat it up. It's perfect room temp.
Hey @Vita: Hope you’re well! Yes, he was a PN, but he made the best pizza ever and he was very proud of it and didn’t want anyone to ruin his handiwork. So I could sort of relate to that aspect.
Mooney- I LOVE pho! Was really tempted to get some today, I drove by the restaurant but I’ll probably just make it at home like I always do (just takes a while to get the broth done and since I don’t eat beef it’s always pork/chicken).
As for pizza, I used to always eat it cold but now I usually heat it up after years of my husband, giving me crap about eating it cold. I usually make my own pizza and it is actually better heated up. Store pizza is more flexible on temperature.
Excellent either way !!!
ReplyDeleteHangover food of the gods
ReplyDeleteUsually cold, but if I'm feeling fancy I'll heat it up and add more cheese.
ReplyDeleteI throw it out the night before. Pizza isn't a priceless commodity, you can order more.
ReplyDeleteFirst slice cold cuz I’m starving while one heats up.
ReplyDeleteBest hangover food is Pho.
Cold, definitely.
ReplyDeleteCold. It's already cooked, no need to do it again.
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of Neapolitan in the morning.
ReplyDeleteI never eat leftover pizza, hot or cold.
ReplyDeleteOn the rare occasions I get pizza, I always get a personal size pizza, so there are never any leftovers.
ReplyDeleteI don't eat pizza in the morning.
ReplyDeleteHow can you NOT eat leftover pizza cold?

ReplyDeleteThis question gave me heartburn
ReplyDeleteFried leftover spaghetti trumps cold pizza for breakfast every time.
ReplyDeleteIts what Clint Eastwood had for breakfast in all of his early westerns.
Now he eats owl wings and weiners at the Bohemian Grove.
DeleteI so used to love this guy too.
Yeah I usually throw out all leftovers and think of how the UN can't save starving children in Africa.

ReplyDelete@Brayson87, it's a sin to throw out leftover pizza. I keep it for lunch though.@Me,fried leftover spagetti,+1,but again, lunch.
ReplyDeleteYes. At 350 degrees in the oven for 10-15 min depending on size and thickness. Delicious breakfast!
ReplyDeleteEithrr. If I hae time, for 20 seconds in microwave. If not, cold is fine too.
ReplyDeleteSo weird, a friend was just telling me about her love of fried spaghetti earlier this week. Synchronicity of some innocuous sort.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely cold. I never throw leftover pizza away, because then I want it and wonder what I was thinking.

ReplyDeleteCold. The difference between a ok pizza and a great one is how it tastes cold.
ReplyDeleteYuck! Breakfast is for mornings. Leftover pizza is for lunch.
ReplyDeleteWarmed.. 400° for 11 minutes.. Call it the 411.. Really, really good..
ReplyDeleteAquagirl- geez-- he WAS the Pizza Nazi! I'm surprised he didn't tell you which toppings to order, too!☺
ReplyDeleteHey @Vita: Hope you’re well! Yes, he was a PN, but he made the best pizza ever and he was very proud of it and didn’t want anyone to ruin his handiwork. So I could sort of relate to that aspect.
DeleteNeither, not for breakfast! Heated for lunch.

I'm drawing a clear line in the sand--cold pizza is disgusting.
ReplyDeleteHeat it up and dig that melted cheese, or leave that pie ALONE!
Nothing like cold pizza the next morning. Been doing this for years. It's better the next day.
ReplyDeleteUsually no leftovers, I’ll eat it later that same night. Usually cold but sometimes heated in the microwave.
ReplyDeleteUh, who the hell heats up leftover pizza? Cold, of course!
ReplyDelete*Ugh, but uh works too I guess...
ReplyDeletehaha, owl wings and weiners.
ReplyDeletefgs, it takes 8 mins (or less)in the toaster oven. Enjoy a cup of tea with milk whilst waiting.
Warm it up, and only eat the toppings, not the crust, just the skimmed part of the crust.
ReplyDeletetotally depends on where the pizza is from... but most of the time i have to reheat...
ReplyDeleteCold or if heated for breakfast add a fried egg :)
ReplyDeleteCold it's the breakast of champions.
