Blind Item #3 - Reader Blind
He wore a toupee his whole film career and was never seen without it in public. In fact, he wore one even when spending time with his family.
The one exception to this was a film he made about halfway through his career where he played a relative of a famous fictional character. He was naturally bald for that role. A number of his friends advised him he should stay that way as it made him look even more distinguished but the actor rejected that. In fact, he even told reporters that he had shaved his head for the role.

Played Sherlock Holmes's brother Mycroft in The Private Lives of Sherlock Holmes. Went bald in it.
That’s a damn realistic looking piece!
albert finey (sp?)-annie?
Sean Connery.
@Carol
apparently Sean connery has been quite open on set about being bald...rips off his toupe after a scene
this is christopher lee.
Christopher Lee was a badass. He would have been terrifying bald.
Christopher Lee, what a legend. What I'd give to know what he did in the war before he was famous.
I always thought we'd have a national week of mourning when he died.
He served with the SAS and LRDG, and spoke several languages. Very impressive man.
Omar Sharif?
James Bond was written by his cousin Ian Fleming partly about Lee's exploits in WW2. The man was and still is a complete legend.
Christopher Lee did look better bald.
That hairpiece was obvious too.
How bald are we talking? His hairline usually looked real.
I bumped into Sean Connery walking out of an Upper East Side store as he was walking in. He wasn't wearing a toup. But he is VERY tall. (Or I am VERY short.)
Christopher Lee always scared the crap out of me. To show what kind of man he was - I was watching the interviews about The Wicker Man on the dvd. He complained that one of the producers didn't even say hello to his wife. It still upset him, because he said you can tell what kind of man the producer was if he couldn't even acknowledge his wife.
Super class.
unlikely to be connery as he is still alive...
christopher lee was my first thought when reading this so +1 to that guess
aww this makes me miss him all over again :(
Bald men out there, dont feel bad! You don’t lose all your attractiveness just bc you are bald! Sincerely, a lot of women and gay guys
From what I remember Sean Connery went without the "crown-topper" in the 1965 film "The Hill" (there's me outed as an oldster. So not him.
Recorded a death metal album in his 90s. And no one thought it unusual.
Given his wartime and pre war exploits (he volunteered to fight for the Finn's against the Russians) and the fact he was the son of an Italian countess famed for her beauty, he was pretty much in the top ten badasses of the 20th century.
Errol Flynn came to mind, but I'm not sure about the bald role.
He was badass but nowhere near as tough as his brother, Bruce.
Ted Danson is bald and has worn a hairpiece forever.
Ted Danson is a very handsome man and he looks better w/ hair.
Its Jimmy Stewart
I love learning all of this Christopher Lee trivia! Thanks, Everybody!😍
