Wow are we going to start getting great music again? Seems like heroin is the magic ingredient.
Pharrell
Timbaland?
Pharrell is A list?
david foster
How did it backfire? She get hooked?
Quincy Jones?
@squirrel: "DavidFoster"... HAHAHA!!!
Todd Rundgren
Q?
This is a terrible place to be. Good luck to whomever is
Justin beiber
Well, the trade-off would be a bunch of dead artists though, so perhaps not the best route.
And yeah, the major studios are now pushing nothing but total crap and they know it. Studio/sound folks I know create masterpieces that the studio execs then deliberately alter in some pretty nasty ways.
He is..man has more #1 hits than any active music producer and timbaland is sober
Go look at the recent pictures of Pharrell in Paris..not good
@Monkey, Everyone dies, but most people never make great music.
John Doe - Pharrell is most definitely permanent A list
And AD-NYC - you are right. H e doesn't look good especially considering he's pretty young.
Holy shit- I agree with Pharrell. Had no idea he looked that bad!

Yep, he looks faded af in every photo.
Mind you triplets going through the 'terrible two's' could leave you looking like that ! Lol
The wife looks exhausted and over it. He was wasted in that one photo.
Heavy user... not good.
Pharrell looks out of it, Helen looks pissed.
That’s a shame. I used to see him out and about in Miami and he was always super sweet; he never drank ,always sober & alert. A total gent in a sea of pigs
No wonder Pharrell is "Happy"
If this is Pharrell, and if this gossip is true, it's odd. Because Black folk generally don't go for Opioids. Not since Cocaine knocked Horse off the scene. Isn't he also closeted?
Heroin interventions that backfire are nothing compared to opioid interventions that backfire.
Lionel Ritchie?
Duh..he is still making hit songs after 20 plus years
I agree. But they put that albatross around Michael & Prince's neck as well. Who knows. They may have been / or be in pain & usage takes a turn for the worse. Whoever it is, I hope they get help.
@monkeyweather
===the major studios are now pushing nothing but total crap and they know it.
I'd believe it. Not just because it's obvious but because the prime mover no longer is the massive music act.
The heavy lifting of "rocking the vote" and sexing the kids is long done and most niches are pretty much the same only different. Who cares.
One thing that really surprised me in Seattle was the way all the Entercom stations had pretty much the same basic backbone of playlists for their genre for more than a decade.
No one would ever answer who picks the tracks but I have my own ideas on criteria for same.
In a way, I feel sorry for the artists (those still living, anyway ...) who comprise the lists; in the same way I feel sorry for Bob Dylan when he talks about "The Chief".
Pharrell looks like he is on his last legs. I pray to God he gets off heroin and no longer craves it. I pray God intervenes in whatever issue led Pharrell to use heroin. I pray he heals and recovers today.
Pharrell does not look good I hope it's not him but whoa. He is 46 but there's more than age going on in those pics
Lots of black people abuse opioids. Just like everyone else. And meth too.
Wow, guess i never oaidxattdntion to PW. Tough drug to kick nut most go cold turkey and methadone is just as bad. QJ is too damn old to be shooting up.
@Stephen Cooper: Herion as classified as an Opioid/Opiate. it is a derivative "oid" of Morphine.
She looks annoyed AF in the pictures with him. That tired of Bs look.
