Blind Item #10

This A- list actress/director who all of you know tried really hard to land the directing gig for this long long awaited sequel to a haunted holiday favorite. An executive from the studio in a accidental reply all email said there was no way a woman was getting the gig.

  4. Nightmare was my first thought MyDog, seems like they were thinking about it last fall.

  5. Wait...so there's proof he denied her because she's a woman!

  6. Although I think a sequel to Santa's Slay would be better than trying to ruin a classic.

  7. Jolie could act in an Addams family movie right now without any professional makeup and wardrobe required.

@Brayson Yeah, they've been talking about it.

  9. Paranormal Activity 7 has been in the news for a couple days. The last one was a Xmas movie.

  11. All-female remake of the Exorcist, except Pazuzu is a male.

  12. @Indie: If it’s Angie, they don’t need to use the fact that she’s a female. She sucks as a director which is a good enough reason.

  13. I'm with Aquagirl - them saying no to Angelina does not strike me as a knock against women but a knock against her.

We all remember this wouldn't be the first email to be "accidentally" sent out that says she sucks balls and shouldn't be given what she wants.

Angelina is not an amazing director or that Wind By The Sea bullshit wouldn't have been such a disaster. The other Affleck bro did a Depressing By The Sea movie and it won wide acclaim (I saw neither film) so she's not exactly accomplished.

If the lady who did Wonder Woman got turned down, that would be different.

  14. Jolie/Hocus Pocus 2.

I guess she figures she's already done the research.

  17. If she slept with the producer, her gender would not be a problem. Remember, not every producer is as ugly as Harvey.

A-?? girl interrupted was like 25 years ago. wtf has she been good in, or been in thats good. and she fucking ruined unbroken, the amazing, practically unbelievable, true story of Louis Zamperini. that man deserved an Oscar quality film about his life, a true American hero. an NYU first semester film student with enough sought could have done better. sorry, thats my AJ rant, cant stand her. the parental alienation crap is like only the 5th thing thats wrong with her,

  20. So I guess a female director would "ruin the childhoods" of all those incels who grew up loving Hocus Pocus I.

  21. @ Hunter but it didn't say there is no way THAT woman is getting the gig. It said A woman which is not just a knock against Angie alone at all.

Thanksgiving is Planes, trains and automobiles. LOVE that film. I miss John Candy. I just read an article about his kids, who seem really cool.
