Today's Blind Items - Old Hollywood Quickies

#1 - This actress/model/escort with a very unusual name had a one night stand with an auto heir and a month later said she was pregnant. He believed her and married her. In their divorce, he said she cost him $200K per month in shopping and he was going bankrupt. He died before the divorce was final, so she inherited a ton of money.

#2 - This B list mostly movie actor was in dozens of movies. When his wife found out he was hooking up with men, she murdered him in his car, and then convinced police she had been nowhere near him that night. She even found a "note he wrote," which gave her an alibi.

#3 - This little person says she made 50-100 times her salary during production of this iconic A++ list movie for having sex with men in her hotel, than she made for being in the movie.

The only marriage of Zsa Zsa's that didn't end in divorce was her last one and that one ended with her death, not his. I don't think she's #3

@Alicat68 Good guess!

From her wiki:

"She had been divorced twice when she married Horace Dodge Jr., an heir to the Dodge founder family fortune in 1953. The couple led a very expensive lifestyle; Horace Dodge initiated divorce proceedings in 1961, saying "I can't afford the woman". However, the divorce wasn't final when Horace Dodge died in 1963, and Sherwood inherited $11 million."

@Rosie so true, i wish there were more of them

3. Has to be Oz. If Return of the Jedi counted as "old Hollywood," Warwick Davis said they were only paid 60£ a day, and the private-time hijinks of the unsuited Ewok actors are reported to have been quite something. One even starred as a sex worker in a later film.

Zsa Zsa was always a gold digger, and nothing more, she never even hid it. It was very clear that Conrad Hilton was not the father of her daughter, since they had already broken up when she got pregnant, but of course, she insisted her meal ticket was the father, and he supported the daughter.

2. Bacon was only in six movies.

Gator, some years ago a dear friend of mine married a woman from Hungary. She told me that while she did not know the Gabor sisters that well, they were often at the same public events (in those days, opera, theater, etc.). They did not have a good reputation, and were frequent.y gossiped about, but when they found a way to get to America many people entrusted them with pre ious objects like jewelry that they promised to sell and mail money to the owners. Those owners never saw their jewelry or money again. When my friend finally got to America she was set up for a meeting with the mother, who was to introduce her around. The advice she got from the other was to “marry a rich American, make money, leave him,and then find another and do this until you are wealthy”. My friend married a college professor.

1 Not Zsa Zsa, read Gregg Dodge’s wiki.

#2 is supposed to be David Bacon but it's clearly a made up blind. It's still an unsolved case, even the cops don't know who did it, so how could a random entertainment lawyer know? Btw, his wife was also bi so I doubt she was that upset with him sleeping with men.

The Gabor sisters, thanks to their mother, just missed the concentration camp express by a whisper.

Definitely! I stayed at the Culver Hotel (where they were housed for the duration of filming) and their antics were legendary. This was almost 15 years ago, but the hotel staff were very happy to share the sordid history. Apparently, the cops were called nightly & there was lots of swinging on chandeliers.

Actually, Zsa Zsa didn't know who the father of her daughter actually was. Conrad Hilton was a strict Catholic. He let people think he was the father so that Francesca wouldn't have the stigma of being illegitimate. Magda Gabor was a secretary for the ambassador of Portugal. She processed fake documents and identities for many, many European Jews and saved them from being sent to concentration camps. When it started to become dangerous for Magda and he parents and some other family members the ambassador hid them in his own home. Eva and Zsa Zsa were in the United States during this time. They survived the war, but a few were murdered after by Hungarian communists. The family history is very interesting.

Judy Garland was very petite as well. 4'11" and might not have weighed even 90lbs in that movie. But she made a pretty good salary of $500/wk so if it was her she must have been a Goddess on her knees.
