Blind Item #5

A rarest of the rare event the other day when this A+/A list comic actor who thought he was going to get an Oscar nomination this past year doing an event with this pair of comic actresses who are also A list. The actresses and the actor have been in a forever long feud, but managed to set it aside for a one off event.

GOO GOO GA GA kind of guy and prob recreates scenes from his movies in normal conversation. No ThankYOU.

  4. I think the feud was over him starting his own production company and Fey/Poehler thought of it as a sleight to Lorne Michaels or something @Vince... at least that's what somebody posted here some years back

  5. @MDS, the biggest social experiment in history. How well will the sheep behave after they have had the shit scared out of them to the point they will happily give up their constitutional freedoms.

  6. Actually @rosie nothing could be farther from the truth. But you "probably" can't process that

  10. No Indie-Poehler/Fey vs. Adam(who is a nice guy,as ive said here). He wouldn't have as many people truly adore him in the industry and out of it.

  11. @MDS and Tricia13 Sheep no more. Ever. Can't put that toothpaste back in the tube. Next up: civil disobedience.

I think Adam Sandler's movies are excellent when you want slapstick humor. I enjoy his movies and have watched them repeatedly when I need light comedy. They have their place.

SNLs greatest years were during the Sandler/Kataan/Farley years. And you can't find them anywhere because Lorne Michaels is a whiney bitch.

Give the viewers what they want, take our money and STFU. He needs to quit being a lefttard and try to tell us what we should/shouldn't watch based on his feeeeeels.

  13. Mrs Libnish….you are spot on:) Also Lorne Michael is not only whiney, he is an utter douchenbagger to work for with a god complex.Good on Adam for doing it on his own(and with his friends) who he always takes care of evidently, in an unforgiving industry

  14. The best season of SNL beyond doubt had Christopher Guest, Martin Short, Harry Shearer, and Rich Hall.

The cast only lasted one season in the 80s, but the skits were actually funny and smart, instead of being drug humour and catch lines.

I found it on youtube and a lot held up, esp the pre-filmed, out of studio segments

  15. IDK if its me, but Poehler and Fey just seem so self-righteous and judgmental and would probably be killjoys to be around.

Sandler at least is what you see is what you get and seems pretty laidback.

  16. Don't like Sandler, but Fey and Poehler are insufferable.

  17. Never liked a single 'comedy' from him but 'Uncut Gems' deserved an Oscar, awesome movie.

  18. Fey and Poehler, who have stirred the shit with other celebrities before, have been pretty dismissive of Sandler and belittling of his talent (and he is a good actor when he gets the right role. I doubt he started it.

  20. Do not like Adam Sandler or any of his movies. Didn't see Uncut Gems because I cannot even stand to look at his face or hear his voice. Such a man child. Ugh! And by the way, Adam, buy yourself some decent clothes. You look like a fool wearing baggy shorts and sneakers wherever you go.

  21. I like Sandler, but that Uncut Gems movie performance was barely one step above the Lil Nicky voice.

  22. I love Lorne Michaels and SNL, who BUSTED the latest FRAUD from Quackpot that Tom Hanks was under arrest, dying, with Hanks hosting SNL last weekend. But the dummies keep buying what the FRAUD is $elling.

  23. If Poehler and Fey hold grudges against people according to Lorne, that doesn't really speak well to their image as independent women who don't let men dictate their career trajectory.

Jane Curtin was the first to tell the world what a jerk Lorne Michaels is. It shouldn't be a shock to anyone anymore.

  24. Fuck fey and poehler. Get to work on that mean girl sequel pronto bitches!

  25. Lauren Mae, will you marry me?? lol. And btw, you’re goddamn right. Tired of this bullshit, personally.

  26. Yeah, Sandler sucks as does SNL and Lorne. Fucking douchebags, anyone connected with that slop the last decade. See “Allelujah” for extreme TDS.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Absolutely @Gauloise and it’s a sin that season was never commercially released.

  28. Sandler deserved it more than Joaquin. I hate Joaquin's joker.

  29. Marxist - wow, really? That's a rare opinion. I thought he was sublime. What didn't you like about it?
