Before this actor hit it big and became A list, he earned his living by sleeping with the rich and powerful in Hollywood. He was also a guy who you could rough up during sex. He was in demand because of that and in his later years suffered the after effects of the horrible injuries he had sustained. He also lost most of his teeth from being punched so frequently during sex. When he got to be A list he got his revenge against his former tricks as often as possible. He used his star status to remove them from jobs or get them thrown out of town with a carefully whispered tip to the gossip columnists. One of the men who he hated the most was an A list director. He refused to work with him. Well, at one point they were assigned to work together for a  film that turned out to be massive. Our actor started trash talking the director every day and did everything he could to make the director look bad. Finally, the studio caved and hired the actor's best friend as the director and they made history together.
