NBC Fires Matt Lauer

Matt Lauer was fired from NBC News on Wednesday after an employee filed a complaint about "inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace," the network announced.
Savannah Guthrie made the announcement at the top of the "Today" show. "We are devastated," she said.

If you have read the site at all, then this should not come as any kind of shock to you at all. What is shocking is that NBC didn't fire him a long time ago.

Matt Lauer Signs Today Show Extension

Sorry Ryan Seacrest, it doesn't look like you will be filling Matt Lauer's shoes on Today for a few years. NBC signed Lauer to an extension yesterday which will keep the host in place for several more years. He will continue to make cajillions of dollars a year for a show that has lost its mojo and to a guy that not many people on the show like. Of course if Matt doesn't like them they end up canned so everyone pretends to love Matt. He has been the host of the show since 1997 and the contract will take him through year 20. Katie Couric was a host for 15 years which was the previous record. Waking up at 3am for so many years must be something your body gets used to. I wonder if he just sleeps through his entire vacations. Of course, making $25M a year and having someone drive you to work every morning makes those early morning alarms a little easier to handle.

Matt Lauer Sucks

After reading article after article the past month with the New York Magazine article this weekend the icing on top, one thing is certain to me. Matt Lauer loves himself and himself only and is a huge ass. Is that two things? I as hoping it was just one thing because if it is two things I feel forced to make a list and it will be way longer than just two things. The article says that Matt Lauer can't stand Ann Curry and was not going to work with her anymore. he could say that because ABC was offering him a contract and Matt was getting ready to bolt. Can you imagine if he had? NBC might be in first place and ABC probably would have had to fire Robin Roberts because Matt would feel her cancer was taking away from his airtime.
