Dean McDermott Avoids Jail In Child Support Case Only Because His Ex Showed Him Mercy

Dean McDermott was almost sent to jail on Thursday for failing to pay child support to his ex-wife.

Tori Spelling’s husband appeared in court in Los Angeles on Thursday after his former spouse Mary Jo Eustace filed a complaint claiming he stopped paying child support for their 18-year-old son Jack in October and owes her thousands of dollars.

After filing her paperwork Mary Jo said, "This has been difficult. It's very hard to stand up for yourself."

McDermott, who told the court he had “fallen on hard times”, was dramatically read his Miranda rights, which are given to those intended to be questioned in police custody, after being held in contempt of court for failing to pay.

Before sending him to jail, the judge gave the former couple an opportunity to work out a deal and Eustace withdrew the complaint, sparing McDermott jail time. He is now scheduled to pay off half of the amount he owes by Monday. Insiders told the outlet Eustace will refile her complaint as early as Tuesday if he doesn’t pay up.

 

Tori Spelling's Show Set To Be Canceled

Even though there are only a couple of episodes remaining of her reality show, Lifetime executives want to cancel Tori Spelling's new show now and try and get something solid in her times lot. Despite trying everything she can to get attention and publicity for her show including her Ebola like symptoms and quarantine in a hospital, no one is watching her show. This brief run of shows was her last hope in keeping some type of reality career going. There is nothing left for her to say or do. She has worn out her welcome and no one is particularly interested in watching her live her life or the things she doesn't go through every day but wants you to think she does. She will make a decent living posing with products and making appearances that she won't have to worry about putting food on the table and Dean can always keep doing his thing which also makes a decent amount of money. Even without the show, they probably make close to $1M a year, so no one is going to feel very sorry for them. 

Tori Spelling Is A Mess

The tabloids are filled with all kinds of claims about Tori Spelling and her relationship with Dean McDermott. At this point, I am not even sure if Tori knows which are real and which are made up as part of some elaborate plan to stay in the public eye. I don't have much sympathy for someone who made up an affair story and a woman just to get a reality show. The effect that is going to have on her kids and the stuff will have to read about it later in life just isn't worth it. Do I think Dean has cheated? Absolutely. Lots and lots of times, but they were kept pretty quiet until Tori decided to make one up and get a season of a show. Here is the thing I always tell myself about Tori and her illnesses. when she was placed on bed rest for her last pregnancy it was for months and months but you never heard a peep about it. The only time there is any peep about anything is when something is faked or wanted to be used for attention. Why is this all coming out at the same time her new season is starting? It is always something with her and I don't feel any compassion for her running through her almost $1M inheritance and the other millions she has earned over the past decade with one reality show after the other and appearances on home shopping. Her mom won't let her be homeless or be totally broke so it is not something I worry about. She does this for attention and everyone keeps giving it to her.

Tori Spelling Is In The Hospital Again - Wants You To Think It Is Life Threatening

Tori Spelling can conjure up a hospital admission faster than Jennifer Aniston can grab her stomach and get a baby on the way tabloid cover. Yesterday Tori was admitted to the hospital and wants you to think she might possibly have Ebola like symptoms and has been locked down and placed under quarantine. The only problem with all of that is she also wants you to know that despite her quarantine and how no one is supposed to be able to visit her because her disease is so serious, that she does have Dean there with her and will be able to Tweet to her fans and somehow the camera crew from her reality show are also able to be there during her quarantine. I'm not really sure if there is a disease that Tori has not contracted or if there is a low that she is not willing to reach down and try in order to get people to notice her and stay in front of the cameras. The lengths she will go to are pretty amazing.
