Which handsome cable TV star refuses to marry his long-term girlfriend – whom he really does love – even after she gave him an ultimatum? The hunky actor just isn’t the marrying type – he’d rather booze it up, hang with his buddies and concentrate on his career, rather than settle down! Who is he?

ReplyDeleteI saw Kathy Griffin live a couple of weeks ago and she told a long story about being at a dinner party with Jon Hamm, who was roaring drunk and started talking about how old she looked (if you know Kathy, you realize that's a great way to make an enemy out of her!). I have seen other references to his "boozing it up." Sounds like he might be abusing alcohol and need help.

ReplyDeletenot a blind...? hasn't he stated pretty often in interviews that he wasn't the marrying kind? if the ring thing were important to his longtime mate, she would leave, so obviously she's okay with it. not all vaginas are concerned with weddings. for seven years, i didn't marry mr. eggs until we had a hiccup in our insurance provider with regards to our oldest kids birth and vaccs. if unified health care were around back then, i don't think we would have gone to the judge. insurance companies are bastards. *sorry...it's HOT and i'm grumpy*

ReplyDeleteFriends with kids was such a great movie. Jennifer westfeldt wrote and starred in it. She talented and funny AND pretty. She needs to recognize! He ain't all that!
ReplyDeletePeople need to remember that Jennifer was with Jon since he was a cater waiter. She isn't with him for the money or fame she just loves him. I don't think she cares if they are married or not. Maybe NE would label it as them, but I don't think it's them except for the boozing and career part.

ReplyDeleteWho cares if they don't get married? He's been in it for 15 years. Most men get bored after 7. If it is Jon Hamm, that Jennifer has nothing to worry about. He isn't going to leave her. At the height of his success, I"m sure he could have left if he wanted too. Marriage is just a piece of paper. Elizabeth Taylor had eight pieces of paper. A ring doesn't mean squat. Pardon my french.

Yes, and Univ. of Texas. I was class of 86 and JH was class of 89. I moved before the end of HS though, so didn't graduate from there. He's in the alumni news regularly.

ReplyDeleteHamm's a guy's guy alright; and pretty well known to be a drinker, which is such a shame. I'd guess a functional alcoholic. Talk about looking old - it's already starting to affect his good looks. Jennifer will move on and in a few years, if he ever gets sober, he'll regret it the rest of his life.
ReplyDeleteBut no matter what they decide to do with their relationship, when someone mouths off like that when drunk, it's a sign they're losing some level of control. He may be A list on TV but not in movies yet...and he could lose his shot if he doesn't clean up his act.

ReplyDeleteShe just seems super mousey to me and if The Hamm is doing what we hear he is. He is bored and she's a doormat with a bad nose job and odd looking cheeks. I don't care much about him anymore.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I never knew Jon Hamm was at UT. I might have crossed paths w him on more than one occasion! I was there from 1980-1990 (after finishing school, I worked on campus for a few yrs).

ReplyDeleteHendrix, I agree with what you said. Hamm is gorgeous and reminds me of a young William Holden type (yeah, I watch a lot of old TCM movies). William Holden was also a notorious hard drinker and it zapped his good looks too.
ReplyDeleteI could not stand the movie Friends With Kids. Jennifer W. was painful to watch and she was in mostly every frame. I kept fixating on how she messed with her face and couldn't even move her lips properly to say the lines. The best and funniest actors in that movie were totally underutilized.
@Megerz - I just saw FWK about a month ago and it didn't live up to the hype for me either, especially the ending. Sigh. I agree completely about Jennifer's plastic surgery. I wish she hadn't messed with her face.
ReplyDeleteI think I've read both JH/JW have both said they didn't feel the need to marry OR have kids, so I don't know why she would change her mind?
