This former almost B+ list all movie actress dropped to a C and was hovering around a D. She tried to bring herself back up by getting involved in a relationship with what she perceived to be a bigger celebrity than her. She got some press, but it was not until she managed to get a hot television show that she began to climb back up the list. Even though she is still a B- she acts like she is A+ and expects to be treated like it. Her almost A list mostly movie actor co-star on the show called her out in front of everyone and said she got a lucky break and to treat everyone accordingly. Has not happened.

I facking love this show. Top 5 faves of all time probably. I could go on and on and on about the merits of it. I love it and will defend it to the death.

Good for william macy for calling her out on behavior. Sll the drama, the histronics, trips to starbucks, pap photos- none of that crap has anything to do with acting.

I love hearing about celebs calling out other celebs on their BS behavior like this. They should categorized under kindness blinds.

Thought it was weird Julia Roberts niece was dating the Counting Crows guy after Courtney Cox AND Jennifer Aniston both dated him. Still on my list of 5, though. Adam, not Emmy/Emma.

ReplyDeleteHegg: It always happens with UK shows to US shows. The Office was very successful in the US version but different. And Shameless is pretty good but I would guess not nearly as funny as the original. BTW we also tried to do Coupling and it was an unmitigated disaster!

Is there something sort of "fame whore-y" going on here? I can't figure it out.
I know a couple of her co-stars and met her at a party I attended with them. She was nice to me then and subsequent times when I would run into her at events. So maybe the hint did take.

Emmy Rossum had NEVER been below a "B-" in my book, and I've been pissed every single day since "The Day After Tomorrow" came out that she wasn't huge star. That girl is a knockout!

ReplyDeleteUsed to figure that an "original/UK production of XYZ is surely better"--but saw US version of Life on Mars, loved it, & checked out the UK eps afterwards. IMO, the US cast seemed more charismatic, the screenplay just a bit tighter, & overall more engaging. Either is worth a watch, but while his UK counterpart was fine, missed Harvey Keitel!

But geez; Emmy R must really be a pain if he chewed her out in front of whole cast (& crew??). Alas, actors like her tend to be too high on their own egos to take a hint--let alone accept an outright lecture.
