11:28 - FYI, I am single and have never been married. I just do not approve of those who are married and then - COINCEDENTLY - happen to leave their wife for their movie co-star. Granted, I'm sure there was alot going on we did not know about, but whatever. Not cool in my book.
ReplyDeleteNone of us knows for sure what was going on behind closed doors, and it's really none of our business. This is the way it is now, they are together, they have a family, and they do a helluva lot of good for those less fortunate. Don't hate, celebrate!
ReplyDeleteThere's always so much about celebrities that is hidden. The public will never know the whole truth about many of them - only what the PR machine wants us to see. I personally think that Angelina Jolie is mentally ill as her Dad claimed years ago but now she is being presented as a Saint.
ReplyDeleteAs for Katie Holmes, she a grown woman who made a choice. I don't feel sorry for her. She can leave at any time since she has the money and the family there to back her up. If she stays then it must not be that bad for her.
The thing about Angelina is you know every single picture of her taken by the paps is endorsed and usually set up by her - she uses the media to feed her ego. There are many, many, many stars that help as much as they do without calling People every single time. I really doubt you would see someone like Reese Witherspoon calling the press everytime she donates something.
ReplyDeleteLooks staged to me. What kind of camera phone gets resolution like that, composed perfectly so that Jolie is starring in her key light while Pitt is stage-dressing? I'm assuming one of her "charities" got a share of the photo sale.

ReplyDeleteI agree with ANON 12:17. What Angelina does goes well beyond her role for the UN. She manipulates the media so the focus is on her and what a good person she is for doing all this hard work. There are ways to do PR for a cause and she works it so the focus is on her work not so much the "good cause". Instead of doing all those interviews talking about the work she need to help the victims get interviewed so that we hear it first hand - not second hand from her. She flies into a few places like Darfur for a couple days on a "tour" and all the sudden she an expert being interviewed on CNN so the spotlight is on her - the Saint. She sell pictures of her and her new orphan acquisition to PEOPLE instead asking PEOPLE to do a story on the plight of those still in the orphanage.
Depending on how you feel about her, you can interpret and pick apart her actions to meet your ends.

Geez - seem to remember waaay back when admidst the Jen and Brad rumors of a break up - then we see pictures of them walking hand and hand on the beach - even kissing - and we all know what happened when that vacation ended.
