Jake Gyllenhaal's Special Friend Busted For DUI

Austin Nichols who starred in Deadwood and currently stars as John in John From Cincinnati was arrested for suspicion of DUI by Jackson, Michigan police at about 2:30am. Of course, Austin is probably just as well known for being the very good friend of Jake Gyllenhaal. I think they both share a love of books and athletics.

The 27 year old actor failed a breathalyzer test at the scene and was taken to jail.

  2. I don't recall him from Deadwood, at all.

So, is a DUI the new black, or something?

WTF - I went to college in Albion. Why someone was cruising around Jackson at 2:30am doesn't make sense. On some other blog, someone mentioned that Austin poopy-face (honestly, he doesn't do anything for me, never has) has family in MI.

  6. Julie:

Austin Nichols and Jake "Tooty Tile" Gyllenhaal are supposedly long-time lovers.

  9. Austin was born in A2 (a squared) or Ann Arbor for the non Michiganders. He was vacationing on Clark Lake near Jackson. He was a junior national waterskier who acheived a top 5 ranking in his teens-I suspect it was at Clark Lake that he learned to ski. JFC was just (thankfully)cancelled by HBO. David Milch needs to go to rehab and when he gets out finish the Deadwood series with the two rumored movies. What was he thinking with this JFC crap? Why would Rebecca DeMoreMoney take that gig-maybe I answered my own question, but seriously, her part was just awful.

  10. Enty, you cracked me up with this one "I think they both share a love of books and athletics."

I would love your take on the Jake is Toothy Tile situation. Is it really about Ted C and Jake looking for more publicity? Ted C's readers know who TT is, Ted knows we know, and it just seems like the whole thing is one big set up. Any chance you are willing to comment on this?

  11. I thought JohnFromCincinatti had a potential to be something interesting, but I think Milch piled too much on to the viewer too soon. And DeMorney's part could have been executed better. An actrss can be a ball buster an pissed without being venemous and screaming all the time.
