The only UK presenter I can think of, off the top of my head, is Graham Norton - who presents just about everything in the UK nowadays, it seems! But for obvious reasons, it can't be him...
IMO the presenter would be the 'face' of a show, the person who introduces it and pops up with comments to camera. For instance, Ryan Seacrest presents American Idol.
