Today's Blind Items - From AP

What is it about women and bathrooms. Do you all talk about everything in there? So, AP was at an event this week and this is what was discussed in the bathroom.

This former A list film actress from many years ago, and now a B lister on television who isn't that old despite the length of her career was having a chat with another woman. They were discussing the length of a certain piece of anatomy on some actors they had been with. Our A list actress said that when she had sex with this C list television actor on her show, that he was really well endowed. She went on to say that it made a nice change from her husband. Yes husband. Seems that he is small and the only way he can get off is if he imagines that our actress is a man. Not much of a stretch if you ask me.

I'm guessing Glen Close, but I'm not sure if she's married.

    I just checked imdb.
    Glen Close is married.
    Sally Field is not.

  6. SJP has never been A list in film, though.

It must be someone who started out young based on his comment "who isn't that old despite the length of her career".

    ReplyDelete
  7. To me Glen Close has always looked like a man in drag. Good guess Sarah.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Yes, Close is a good guess, though not around THAT long. Marcia Gay Harden has been around since she was 20.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Sally Field.
    the guy is Dave Ananbelle

    ReplyDelete
  10. Sally Field isn't married

  11. Glenn Close did come to mind, which would make Tate Donovan the hung stud. He looks the part anyway.

I thought about Glenn Close because think about it, how many actresses listed at the moment here or doing television have ever been an A-list FILM actress? Close was once the most in demand female actress in Hollywood.

  12. Calista or Courtney

    ReplyDelete
  13. Not A list film actresses.

    ReplyDelete
  14. brooke shields is a good comment kristen but who would be the c list?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yeah, that's what I had trouble with Susan. The only male "name" on her show is primarily a film actor (Julian Sands)

    ReplyDelete
  16. If Brooke Shields, could be Paul Blackthorne? Love him! Though I don't know if he'd be C list, after headlining The Dresden Files (canceled or not).

    ReplyDelete
  17. I think it could be Glenn Close and Tate Donavan. Great Guess!

Also, it's fascinating what people talk about in PUBLIC.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ooops, and Andrew McCarthy!

    ReplyDelete
  19. oooh good point Twisted, plus calista and Harrison aren't married, are they?
Was more thinking once A list tv actress, now C.

Hmm, the Glenn Close/Sally Field guesses are great. Would Geena Davis count as well? Was she ever A list?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hhmmmm....Paul Blackthorne? LOTS of TV in ensemble shows and recurring parts. Dresden I see only had 13 episodes, so you could probably count that as C list?

    ReplyDelete
  21. sweater...Geena Davis was a big movie star back in the day (Beeltlejuice, Thelma & Louise, League of Their Own). That's a great guess!

    ReplyDelete
  22. would paul blackthorne be c list or d list i have only seen him on lipstick jungle

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thanks Kristen :)
Not sure who co-starred in her show, though. I never saw it because I was working nights at the time.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I dunno susan...I think in the past EL has called non-acting celebutantes D list, so maybe a steadily working character actor whose name isn't widely known could be C list, you know, since he actually works :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Geena Davis won an Oscar (for The Accidental Tourist, back in the mid 1980s), so she was definitely an A-list movie actress at one point. I know Mark-Paul Gosselaar was featured on Commander in Chief at some point. And Kyle Secor, who played her husband, used to be Det. Bayliss on Homicide. Could be either of those guys.

    ReplyDelete
  26. What about Brooke Shields and Judd Nelson?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think the Glenn Close guess is right on, but I don't care if Tate Donovan is Z list, I don't see him wanting a piece of THAT!

What do you guys think of Glenn Close and Ted Danson? I always pictured him well endowed and good in the sack, because I've never seen the appeal otherwise.

The other reason Glenn is a good guess, is because not only does she look like a man, she has a man's name.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Too easy, Brooke Shields

    ReplyDelete
  29. Not much of a stretch sounds like the woman is manly.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I agree w/it being Brooke Shields. She's had a career that's lasted forever, and was more A list years ago, and is probably B list now.
Imagining that she's a man... well she's kind of an amazon.

    ReplyDelete
  31. and there is a pic of Brooke on the site today.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Was Brooke ever an A-list film actress though? She seemed to be known more for her Calvin Klein ads than for acting in any major films before she got her first tv show.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I keep thinking it's none of the above. Who are we missing?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Never mind Holly Hunter...she's divorced...

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm back to Glenn Close...I really don't think Brooke's hubby has that difficult time in bed. He has gotten her pregnant twice already and she's gorgeous! She does NOT look like a man. And she was NEVER A-list. Glenn Close, on the other hand, was WAY A-list.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Sweater, I think my other guess of Marcia Gay Harden is wrong, too. I have a love hate relationship with blinds since I only get about one in a hundred...lol.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The only two names that keep floating around in my mind are Glenn Close and Geena Davis.

Glenn close is a really good guess, but I just don't take her as the kiss and tell type. Plus, isn't she 60 already? That would make her a mature woman as opposed to "not that old."

Davis seems like she would gossip about her love life in the right company. And she's a decade younger than Close. 50 isn't seen as been so old anymore.

    I keep thinking it's the 6-foot-tall Davis.

  38. your right kristen and lipstick jungle is on tonight plus brooke being in todays random photos

  39. *marlee matlin - married, 42 yrs old, A-list years ago(oscar winner 1986) B-list tv( the L-Word, Dancing with the Stars) " not much of a stretch" = boyish figure, no real curves in the dark.

    ReplyDelete
  40. c-lister steve guttenberg?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Sometimes when I look at Brooke I see her as so beautiful, but sometimes especially in the 80's, she was just so awkard or something horsy about her.....maybe it was the eye brows. LOL!

Her dh does seem straight though...I have no idea.....but I think she was A list back with Endless Love, and The Blue Lagoon.....but yea....that's about it....I just don't know.

  43. OK-I'm off the Glenn Close thing now..60 is not what I would consider young, so I'll go with Brooke, although she is talking about having another baby. I don't see Brooke talking like this to a stranger. JMO.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I don't know, but I think we should look for someone with a famous or semi-famous husband.
Why would Gena Davis' husband, who is a plastic surgeon, be in the closet. I think most of the married, in the closet, men are actors/directors/in the industry. Same with Glen Close.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Glenn Close and Holly Hunter are too old to be considered "isn't that old despite the length of her career."

    ReplyDelete
  46. Brooke Shields was also known for her role in Blue Lagoon and a couple other flicks in the late 70's and early 80's. She's also only in her early 40's.

    ReplyDelete
  47. My first thought was also Brooke Shields (before I even read the comments). And the fact that she's in the random photos pretty much seals the deal for me.

    ReplyDelete
  48. What about Candace Bergen on Boston Legal? She's had a long career and is definitely "manly".

    ReplyDelete
  49. I kinda like feebes' guess earlier - Kyra Sedgewick & Kevin Bacon. She might be a great actress, but let's face it, she is kind of ugly (pronounced you-gly).

I agree with lots of the other posters too, that Brooke Shields is beautiful and usually dresses very well, but again, she's huge for a woman - very masculine, especially her upper body - very broad shoulders.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Kyra sedgwick..................(howeva you spell it)

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hasn't Kevin Bacon been on some list of well-hung actors? I bet he's bared all in at least one role. Geena Davis is a big man.

    ReplyDelete
  52. geezus people, brooke just had a baby.
it has to be glen close and ted danson

    ReplyDelete
  53. I always thought that Kyra Sedgewick looks a lot like Jerri Blank (Amy Sedaris) in Strangers with Candy.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Brooke shields and Chris O'Donnell in the bachelor!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. On what planet was Brooke Shields ever A List?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Earth...in the late 1970s.

    ReplyDelete
  57. ...and very early 80's.

    ReplyDelete
  58. If it's Brooke ... David Alan Basche of Lipstick Jungle was in Random Photos last Friday.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I was alive and an adult in the late 70s to early 80s. (yeah, I am old!) Brooke Shields was never anything more than an curious oddity ---- a child pimped out by her mother to a few marginal films that exploited her youth and body. She would never have been considered A list at any point in her "career" by any definition and more specifically Ent's definition.

    ReplyDelete
  60. j-mo, Kevin showed his Bacon Bits in Wild Things. All I can say about it is, "meh."

    ReplyDelete
  61. I would swear this has to be Sarah Jessica Parker, except that she's not currently in a TV series. Not sure if she would have been considered A list - - back in the 80s/early 90s she did appear in quite a few good films, in supporting roles.
I personally wouldn't consider Brooke Shields, Geena Davis or Glenn Close to be "manly".

    ReplyDelete
  62. What about Sigourney Weaver? I notice she is currently working on something for HBO.

    ReplyDelete
  63. When brooke Shields did the blue lagoon and those Calvin klein commercials she was one of the most famous people in the country. She dated Michael Jackson during the Thriller years. she was most definitely A list then. You couldn't turn on the TV or pick up a magazine without seeing her face.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Julian Sands was on Stargate SG:1 for a year. I'd say that definitely makes him C list no matter what else he's been in.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Yup, I remember Brooke and Michael Jackson at the Grammys when MJ was moonwalking with one sequined glove.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Read Ent's definition of A list. It has nothing to do with media exposure. Is Kim K A list? Is Lauren Conrad A list? By your definition they would be now because you can't open a magazine without seeing them. Brooke Shields was never A list, and is not the answer to this blind.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I think people are passing over the "isn't that old despite the length of her career" criterion - not glenn close or candace bergen (though I *love* her show), I'm thinking brooke shields. tall, broad shoulders - could be seen as manly.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I think this person has to be 45 or younger.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Patricia Arquette?
