Today's Blind Items
I figure since I am always rightfully bashing Scientology, I thought I would share something about the "religion" of another actor. This late 20 something A-/B+ film actor has a little secret that belies his primarily clean cut image. He is a devout follower of Anton LaVey. He has a first edition Satanic Bible which was personally signed by LaVey. Our actor also has the number 9 tattooed on himself to signify the nine rituals of the Satanic Church. He even went so far as to purchase some land where he and other followers use to practice many of these rituals.
I have no idea...but it sounds juicy!I hope there is a reveal for this one.

What about Orlando Bloom? He has the number 9 tattoed on his arm and he fits the age and A/B actor status. Could primary clean cut image mean Disney movies (i.e. Pirates)?

ReplyDeleteI read up on Satanists once & it wasn't about human sacrifice & actual devil worship. It was more about doing whatever it takes to satisfy the self. As long as your desires are satisfied, you don't care what effect it as on other people. Wholly & ruthlessly selfish.

The occult believers don't go around trying to recruit people and force them to do stupid shit. They mind their own beeswax and don't hurt anyone.

I'd much rather have a bunch of satanist neighbors into weird music, strange rituals and bizarro beliefs than live next to really evil people. Strangely, the satanists don't seem to align themselves with those behaviors and leaders (Hitler, child abuse, racism etc.) that I would consider truly evil, but rather seem like just another hokey new age religious group who are about as threatening as a group of Avon saleswomen.

Satanists follow something similar, although they are of the "take advantage of the weak/stupid" mindset. There is a subtle difference.

ReplyDeleteI did a report on the Satanic Church way back in the day as a freshman in high school. (Ok, I had some problems, but it wasn't like I wanted to join up or anything.) They do, indeed, encourage taking advantage of those they view as lesser than themselves, mentally, physically, socially, etc. I know it says he has a "clean cut image," but should we be looking for someone that plowed their way to the top, stepping on a lot of fingers?
ReplyDeleteI just don't see Ryan Gosling. He just doesn't strike me as the arrogant prick it takes to be into Satanism that far. Ryan Reynolds, it could be -- I guess we'll hear about it on Alanis' next album (or is it out? I don't follow her like I used to.) I also would rule out the Fellowship, for the reasons Trashtalker listed above.

Since I'm late to the party I just quickly wanted to say about the other post Ent did on the sec check questions for kids in Scientology. The celebrity kids have it just as bad. Take Anne Archers son for example, his name is Tommy Davis, he has personally harassed critics. Here is a video from the BCC Expose on scientology. ReplyDeleteY'all need to research LaVey's Church of Satanism with what the Bible considers Satanism. Devil Worshiping and Satanism are not the same thing. Not that I agree with LaVey's church or anything, but educate yourselves before commenting. I would rather be a Satanist anyday than a Scientologist.
