Today's Blind Items

This B list television actor who is the star of his own drama series on a network has a very odd sexual habit. It seems that he doesn't actually have sex. Oh, he hits on women and brings them home or more often to a hotel since he is married, but he never actually has sex with him. He acts like he is going to have sex with them, but when push comes to shove, he tells each and every one of his conquests that he prefers watching. So, he has them pleasure themselves while he watches. If they balk, or when they finish, he always says he has an early call and sends them on his way. Never does anything but watches.

  1. Hugh Laurie and his attempt at staying "faithful", perhaps?

Amazing how men will rationalize what's cheating and what's not.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Sounds like a personal contract he has with the missus. He can look, but don't touch.

    ReplyDelete
  3. If we're right and it's actually his attempt at being faithful, I *guess* good on him for having some type of control that most his peers do not.

    ReplyDelete
  4. The Bill Clinton method of extramarital activity??

    ReplyDelete
  5. Hugh Laurie would be A list TV - he's won stuff for House. As his family is still in London, any women could be taken back to his house, rather than a hotel.

Not many clues to go on.

    ReplyDelete
  6. LOL @ califblondy - we CA blondies definitely think alike!!!

I was actually going to say
    "The Bill Clinton Fidelity Test"

    ReplyDelete
  7. Michael Chiklis?

    ReplyDelete
  8. what about wentworth miller from prisonbreak?...everyone knows he's gay, but he is very much in the closet.

    ReplyDelete
  9. His wife probably agreed that he could limit his "watching" to porn -- so by his reasoning this is a live show.

    ReplyDelete
  10. not much in the way of clues...I did immediately think of Tony Shaloub from Monk though. Kinda sorta like his character and the series just started on a major network but has been on a ?minor? network for a few years.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Or Dennis Leary? But Ent would have said comedian to right? ugh.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Johnny Lee Miller?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Chauncey Gardiner?

    ReplyDelete
  14. The comments about the "Bill Clinton" method of preserving fidelity made me wonder....

How about Fred Thompson from Law & Order?

His recent (failed) run for President would certainly be a reason to institute a "look but don't touch" policy.....

    ReplyDelete
  15. i thought of tony shaloub too, but it says network which usually means ABC,NBC,CBS,FOX
and monk is more of a dramedy
the only network guy who has his OWN show, i would say house......i need more ideas

    ReplyDelete
  16. Network means broadcast, not basic cable? Or does it also include basic cable? Basic cable has more intriguing options.

My first (reluctant) thought was Hugh Laurie since his wife & kids still live in England and he only stays in LA when he's filming "House"- but I like the man too much to think of him that way. He's way too intelligent and has too much integrity [to not seal the deal]. [kidding!]

2nd thought- Kevin McKidd from Journeyman. Though Journeyman is likely canceled, even if NBC hasn't announced it yet and the blind seems to indicate it's a current show.

3rd- Damian Lewis, Life. I think he's too nice to cheat- at all.

4th thought- why am I only thinking of British actors with TV shows in the states?

5th thought- Dominic Purcell, Prison Break. Wait, he was born in England. Gotta get off this Brit kick...

6th thought- totally American this time. Mark Harmon, NCIS. It's surely not him, but it would fit and he's not British and not one of my most favorite TV people, so that's why I'm going with Mark Harmon.

  17. Network is ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, the CW, and MyNetwork. I believe Univision is also network.

    ReplyDelete
  18. ragdoll - I don't think Fred Thompson could stay awake long enough to watch all the way to the Happy Ending.

    ReplyDelete
  19. HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! Kellysirkus, I need a new keyboard to replace the one I just spewed Diet Pepsi all over....you livened up my dull afternoon, fo' sho' :D
yeah, Fred also isn't the "Star" of his own network drama" after I re-read the thing. Law and Order is more of an "ensemble cast' kinda thing.

I guess it is Hugh Laurie, but that makes me kinda sad...

    ReplyDelete
  20. yes, i realize james woods is also (mostly) film, but....i dont like the hugh laurie guess.

    ReplyDelete
  21. This screams Hugh Laurie

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hugh Laurie doesn't make sense to me. As his family are home in England then he would either calling a hotel home in LA or be able to take them home if he has one there - hope that makes sense.

I really don't think he's tacky. There's NEVER been any rumours over here about him in all the years he's been in the public eye.

    ReplyDelete
  23. "...brings them home or more often to a hotel since he is married."

Wait...so he does bring the women home sometimes? But often goes to hotels because he's married...but if there's no wife living at home, why bother with a hotel?

Had to check in with the first Mr. Angelina Jolie since "Eli Stone" is about the only other eponymous male tv show besides "House" on right now. But JLM is not currently married. "Dexter" also is a male lead show named after the character, and since it is being aired on CBS right now, it might still count. However, Michael C. Hall is getting divorced and is banging Jennifer Carpenter. Let's see, that leaves James Woods and "Shark"- aw, but he's been divorced for a long time. Gee, guys, I just can't have it be Hugh Laurie!

Okay- switching gears again. "Smallville" is basically a show about Clark Kent/Superman. Tom Welling is married but his wife lives in LA while he's filming in Vancouver.

How about Gary Sinise? He's basically a well regarded B lister, married, and stars on CSI: NY. (Does anyone actually watch that show?) Regardless, it still counts, right?!?

    ReplyDelete
  24. lol that whole "screams" thing has gotten really popular around these parts.....
unless it's in caps, i don't see any of these blind items SCREAMING anything or anyone, thats why we are here to GUESS the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  25. If it didn't specify "star," I would say this blind item has Justin Chambers of Grey's written all over it....

    ReplyDelete
  26. ok i take back the skeet ulrich, it seems he divorced in '05...
but i just dont like hugh laurie for this!

    ReplyDelete
  27. The way this blind is worded, this actor and wife live in the same city. Otherwise why would he need to bring them to a hotel because he was married. Which would rule out Hugh Laurie, even if you didn't consider him A list.

I loove the Kevin McKidd guess, anyone know where his wife lives? I think truthfully that Journeyman has been canceled, but I hope not.

Also, Flora: I thought that Michael C. Hall was rumored to be getting divorced because he was spending too much time with his *boyfriend*?!? I would be thrilled to hear that he likes girls at least some of the time...

    ReplyDelete
  28. Vincent D'Onofrio- Law & Order: Criminal Intent? Married. Recently had another child. B listish because of the fact that he always makes his own opportunities when there is no work. No bunny or buffalo reference makes me doubt the blind's him, but absolutely, positively, I cannot let it be Hugh Laurie.

Tony Shalhoub is probably too nice of a guy, and kinda geeky. Though Monk is basic cable, NBC is airing now. He's married to Amy Adams? Brooke Adams? Someone named Adams? Oh, and "Monk" is the show name and the lead character, so "his own". Again, probably farfetched, but I cannot let it be Hugh Laurie. No, no, no!

    ReplyDelete
  29. kevin mckidd is b list? cuz ive never even heard of him..... & his filmography isnt that memorable to me either.....

    ReplyDelete
  30. d- Michael C. Hall has been dating Jennifer Carpenter (his character's sister)- ewwww- for months now. They are infrequently photographed by the paps doing boyfriend-girlfriend stuff. Plus, his first wife was a total babe. So, despite having played a gay man on Six Feet Under and having a penchant for singing Broadway, I seem to be one of only a handful of people who believe he's straight. Besides, have you seen him shirtless in Dexter? That guy is buff and it would be such a waste. Like a Rupert Everett type of waste...

    ReplyDelete
  31. vincent d'onofrio is JUST WEIRD ENOUGH to pull this off. he really seems like the type to like to ONLY watch.
    very creepy......

    ReplyDelete
  32. Isn't Tom Welling getting divorced?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Kevin McKidd is bigger in England for sure.

Huh. I just realized that Tommy and Sick Boy from 'Trainspotting' both had their own TV shows in the states this year playing Americans with warped senses of reality. "Eli Stone" and "Journeyman". Weird. Now what's up with Robert Carlyle and Ewan McGregor? Oh wait, Robert Carlyle works nonstop on British stuff and Ewan is probably motorcycling around the world again. Shucks.

    ReplyDelete
  34. wtf- Yes, I think he is getting divorced. Found a reference to that after I posted.

---I bet NO ONE KNOWS I'm really bored at work right now.---
    :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. ent doesnt expect us to know what all is huge in england, therefore, kevin mckidd is prob not our guy.
is tom welling still b-list? i couldve sworn smallville was cancelled years ago. did the show go thru a hiccup with the whole dismantling of the wb? & then ups? wait....what was the station called? UPN.
    whatev, lol.

anyway, if smallville is still as popular as it was when i knew it existed, tom welling is a good guess.

just because he may be divorcing, doesnt make him not married...but then again he wouldnt really care what his wife would think would he? unless he wants to make SURE it is not HIS fault they are divorcing....anyway im rambling.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Vincent D'noff sure seems like the type, might excuse it as some sort of study or experiment.

But I think this is a West Coast BI, and refuse to consider Hugh Laurie at all...just because.

    ReplyDelete
  37. flora- dont talk about my Kevin McKidd like that or I will be forced to TYPE IN ALL CAPS

McKidd doesn't just watch. not in my fantasy

    ReplyDelete
  38. BTW- Kevin McKidd starred in HBO's Rome. AMAZING show. Sucks it was only on for like 2 seasons...

    Journeyman was canelled- also sucks.

It's not McKidd. I refuse to believe that.

Also, ENT- You should remind these ladies who Kevin McKidd is with a little FFF action on Friday.

    ReplyDelete
  39. d - my point exactly re- Hugh.

Gossipmonger - very petty pointing out the caps, especially as it's a first time for me to use them. In my mind I wasn't screaming I was stressing the never, there is no underline tool. Thanks for making my life even brighter.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I doubt this is Vincent D'Onofrio. ENT says the guy "brings them home." VDO's wife, son, and new baby would be surprised at that. Only someone with a wife who either travels or lives somewhere else could fit. Hugh's sounding better and better.

    ReplyDelete
  41. See what throws me off is the whole "star of his own drama series." Because, I'm feeling everyone's go to guess (usually), McDreamy himself. No? Bad choice? Matthew Fox? Prison Break dude? Dennis Leary? Miss Jay from Top Model?

    ReplyDelete
  42. If the guy is the star yet he's B list, then the show hasn't been on the air for very long. Some other suggestions:
    Kyle Chandler
    Donald Sutherland
    Scott Foley
    David Boreanaz

    ReplyDelete
  43. Not Kyle Chandler. Perish the thought. It makes my heart hurt to even consider it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. OH marisa, great idea!

How about James Purefoy, too? Maybe a whole FFF dedicated to the men of Rome. (slurp!) I miss them all...in fighting skirts.

    ReplyDelete
  45. kevin mckidd is slowly climbing the alphabet list in the states, especially after Rome- in which he was very well recieved and the main charachter on hbo...

journeyman was no good but i think he'll have many more chances. let's hope that new movie he's coming out with co-starring patrick dempsey with the recycled juliaroberts/bestfriendswedding premise isn't too much of a stinker.

    ReplyDelete
  46. God, I loved Rome...damn them for not going with Season 3..

Hugh Laurie is A list, so he's OUT.. also, the blind says he takes them to a hotel rather than his house. Hugh has an apartment, and also the blind suggests the wife is nearby, and Hugh's isn't.

I am glad to see so many Hugh Laurie fans on the blog!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I take it that when it says "takes them to his house", the wife is probably not home, and when he goes to the hotel, then the wife is at home.

    ReplyDelete
  48. unless "home" may be referencing "house".

    ReplyDelete
  49. james woods isn't married
    notorious for likin the youngins.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Good Morning All, :)

    ~~OT Alert~~

Could someone pleasepleaseplease help me with my avatar? I have tried everything I know to get that blasted thingy to appear.

WTF am I doing wrong? :D

    ~~On Topic~~

PS...Bill Paxton maybe? Must look him up.

    ReplyDelete
  51. ^^...Scratch Bill, I dont think he fits this..."star of his own drama series"

Not sure if Big Love would be considered 'his' show or not.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Flora: who is getting divorced, Kevin McKidd? You mean there is hope for he and I after all? Ha.

If we had him for FFF I would die happy. Or Michael C. Hall. Yes, I've seen him with his shirt off and was very happy.

    ReplyDelete
  53. D- Oh, no, that was Tom Welling.

Though, in my little neck of the universe, Kev is all yours!

Oh- and I'll third whoever said dig that boy out for FFF. Heck yeah!

And no, it can't be him because the blind does say "Hit" show and "Journeyman" certainly wasn't. It was on the verge of being cult, but that doesn't count. Incidentally it still hasn't been "Canceled" by NBC- just not reupped. They'll probably put the nails in that coffin when they do the Fall upfronts.

I'd be down with the Bill Paxton guess, but I though "network" excluded HBO?

And those who are saying "home" means "House"- banish the thought! Banish it!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I kinda doubt its Hugh Laurie since he rents apartments when hes filming, if you live in your own apartment why bother bringing someone to a hotel?
But really I never watch TV so I couldn't take a guess!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Kelsey Grammer. He's on Back To You on Fox with the woman that played the mom on Everybody Loves Raymond. Just a guess, nothing to back it up with.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Rob Morrow of Numb3rs?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Rob Morrow seems like a good guess.

I would say Kelsey Grammer is A list as far as TV goes.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Journeyman was officially cancelled a while ago. There was debate about whether the network would air the final two episodes (they did).

    ReplyDelete
  59. How about the guy from Bones? David B?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Give me a break. It's Billy Petersen all over the place. CSI. He's a great person, by the way.

Matthew Fox is my guess. He'd have 2 homes, right? LA and Hawaii. Also, a friend of mine did a stage show with him and said he loved to not only brag about his penis but that he'd show it in a second. She said it was huge. Sigh. My life is so sad.
