Quite honestly this is one of the best pieces of gossip I have heard in the past six months. I actually heard about it on Friday and was so jazzed by it that I almost posted over the weekend because I didn't want to wait until today.
These A+ list female film actresses (when I say A+, there is no wishy washy, they are A+) are really different, but they do have one very big thing in common. A woman. That's right. While one of the A+ listers is no stranger to women, the other A+ lister is, or would have the world believe she is. However, each of our A+ listers separately spent several months with a woman who must be magnificent or beautiful or extremely talented in the bedroom to attract the interest of these A+ listers. The only thing these two A+ listers have in common is the huge amount of money they get for making films. The fact that these two completely different personalities and looks could both fall for the same woman just boggles the mind. That, and the fact that at least one of the A+ listers has never shown a propensity to spend time with the same team. This one blew me away.

The other woman is definantly Julia Roberts. Both are unquestionably A list and the biggest paid women stars in the biz.

ReplyDeleteI don't really see Julia as "opposite" of Julia. They're both outspoken, have long romantic histories and are now settled down with families. I guess film-wise Roberts is more of a rom-commer and Jolie more of an action star, but in a lot of ways they're not that different.

ReplyDeleteumm ENT come on, Angelina ALREADY admitted to having been with a woman, your BI is pretty vague on when this "spending months together" happened especially knowing that the last 2 or 3 years everywhere Angelina has been Brad and the kids have been and the paparazzi have been and she's been pregnant or nursing and with newly adopted kids...for much of this past 3 years so the Angelina part of spending "months together" must be an old one, like more than 3/4 yrs ago or else someone would have noticed a woman with her and brad and the kids wherever they were.

Cameron isn't gay. She had that long relationship with Matt Dillon, then Justin. She strikes me as totally a guy's kind of woman - who like s to hang out with the fellows doing guy things, her best friends are probably guys, and she ends up dating some of her pals who never take her seriously.

I just think it's funny that there's so many A+ actresses that are "completely different" than Angelina Jolie. Makes me like her even more. And I'm on the Julia Roberts bandwagon. Can't think of anything that would make me like her.

ReplyDeleteI thought Halle was a great guess until I re-read something ENT posted about A list actresses on Jan 14th 2008. He said she was on the edge of A/B list because she needed a franchise. BTW, he also said that Nicole Kidman didn't deserve A list status or money so I doubt he'd call her A+ now. He gave A list status to Reese Witherspoon, Angelina Jolie, Renee Zellweger, Sandra Bullock because they have a franchise. Interestingly he said "Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore have a franchise, but it is not on their own. Drew however is so A list it isn't even funny and can't believe she is only the 8th highest paid actress. She needs a new agent. Cameron Diaz is someone who will drop from the A list eventually, but people will go see a film solely based on whether she is in it. Julia Roberts is Julia Roberts and so will always be A list. Jodie Foster is in the same category as Cameron Diaz. The only difference is Jodie has been A list for much longer and has probably achieved A list status permanently. Halle Berry is almost there. If Jolie is the first women, then the woman that was shared is Jenny Shimizu. The second woman is Madonna. Madge is famous for dodging directly admitting to her lesbian affairs. To this day about 99% of her hardcore fans refuse to admit it. Not only that but Shimizu spilled the beans last year when she was trying to get publishing companies interested in a book she was peddling. She promised to tell all about Jolie and Madge. The problem is, there's nothing to tell on the Jolie side because Shimizu has already spilled it all to the BBC and had a great deal of it disproved. The publishers didn't think anyone would pay to find out that Madge really had had a lesbian affair. Unfortunately for Shimizu telling tales about Madge just ain't worth the buck today that it was 20 or even 15 years ago.

And I don't think the shared woman is Jenny Shimizu because I don't think she could keep it to herself if she had two A+ list actresses in her past. And just because we know about Jenny and Angelina that doesn't mean Jenny is the only woman Angie's been with. That would be a dumb assumption.

So in my mind we're left with Reese, Renee, Sandra, Charlize, Meryl. I can't include Drew or Jodie because either of them shouldn't have blown ENT away.
it says "A+ as she would have the world believe"...this implies vanity..i would say Gwyneth Paltrow..Oscar award and all, she is no Meryl Streep although somehow she is considered royalty..she and jolie are night and day..gwyneth is a little elitist as opposed to angelina being more down to earth..
