NY Daily News Blind Item

Which TV leading lady has become quite the demanding diva? Following her recent movie successes, she's trying to get more than triple her current salary.

  1. I'm thinking Heigl.

  3. Sounds like Heigl.

Or who else has jumped from TV to movies recently?

I'm not that up-to-date on TV but this Grey's crowd sounds f-ed up from what I read and hear y'all say.

  4. i would say Heigl but triple would have her making more than PD or EP, the leads!

  5. I say Katherine Heigl but I wouldn't consider her to be a leading lady on Grey's. Maybe in hollywood but on the show that title goes to Ellen Pompeo! But I can't think of anyone else that could be the answer? Anyone got any other ideas

  6. Heigl seems the obvious answer. What has Tina Fey done in movies lately that was so ass kickin? I know she had that movie with Amy Poehler but that wasn't a huge hit or anything. Maybe I missed something.

  7. America Ferrara???

  8. I agree. I don't think KH is a "leading lady." I also thought of Tina Fey, but has she done any films lately besides "Baby Mama"? And was that even a success?

  9. Ugh. Heigl.

I won't see Knocked Up specifically because she's in it. Her reputation as a totally obnoxious twat supercedes any acting ability she may have. Anyway, who SETS OUT to see a freaking KATHERINE HEIGL movie?!?! WHO? Speak up! She's not even THAT PRETTY. I don't get the appeal. I just absolutely don't.

  10. you're missing out on a great flick Ernestine.

    Blake Lively.

ps wtf is up with blogger???

  11. I am thinking a shot that is shot in NY or the actress mostly resides in NY. Like Blake Lively from Gossip Girl? Not that I think Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 probably counts much on the movie front.

I don't think if this was America Ferrara that Enty would post it. He has said that she's permanently safe.

  12. I agree with Jax. Ernestine: set aside your distaste for Heigl and rent Knocked Up. It's totally in my top 10.

  13. Sara and Jax, I hate Heigl with a passion like ernestine does but I did see the movie and aside from her, I actually like it. It's one of the comedies that make me laugh my ass off. Ernestine, maybe you should watch it, just pretend Heigl's not in it and think of her as a no-name blonde actress. LOL!

  14. Alright. I'll get it from Netflix and just pretend her name is Shmatherine Shmeigle or something.

I'm kinda on a Gossip Girl train, now. Either Ferrera or Lively -- both of whom are infinitely more attractive and interesting than Heigl, BTW.

  15. I like your thinking ernestine, LOL! It's the same thing I did in order to enjoy the movie. And yeah I was also thinking maybe someone on GG like Blake Lively. She's one of the breakout stars this year but I don't see her success in movies yet which I'm sure will happen very soon. I heard Chace wants a raise but of course he doesn't fit this blind.

  16. i think it's america because she is the leading lady

  17. Hmm, I still kinda like Katherine (a holdover from "My Father the Hero") and I hated "Knocked Up." (Except for the Paul Rudd/Seth Rogan interactions.)

  18. Heigl can't be the answer to every bitchy blind. Blake Lively was also in Accepted, so it could be her.
How about Myley Cyrus? She just did the Hannah Montana films. She looks like she is a bit full of herself.

  19. Ent said America was safe from his blinds. This one is from the New York Post. Having made that wonderful point, I don't think it's her.

  20. I'm not a fan of Heigl, who kind of badmouthed "Knocked Up" after it was released (or the interview was written to give this impression) but Judd Apatow mentions in the audio commentary she was the only actress who was willing to play Seth Rogen's love interest.

Anne Hathaway was originally supposed to be the lead but it seems that she wasn't comfortable with Rogen's looks. Heigl stepped in, which allowed the production to go on.

But, yeah, the blind item makes it obvious it's her. Tina Fey (who works in New York) wrote and co-starred in "Mean Girls" but it was well before "30 Rock". Her only movie success was "Baby Mama" and, as a writer and producer, she would be a fool to compromise her own show. Heigl wouldn't have such feelings...

  21. I'm thinking Sarah Jessica Parker or Kim Cattrall. Their movie was a suprise hit...

  22. Greg -

Sex & the City a surprise hit? It was absolutely a guaranteed hit. The girls and the gays love it, how could it miss? I was totally there on the red carpet for the local premiere!

You are so obviously a hetero guy! (And we love you! almost as much as we love our manolos!)

  23. p.s. totally Katherine Heigle. Who else has that giant ego, and recent movie success?

p.p.s. saw Pineapple Express this weekend, awesome.
Even though I agree with Katherine Heigle that Seth Rogen goes with the easy, misogynist "women are an anchor around our necks who are only good for fucking then get rid of them" guy jokes. Or at least that's what she said after "Knocked Up." And she was quite right.

Despite that, I like Seth. He seems like fun. He'll grow up someday....maybe!
