Lock The Windows And Doors - Courtney's Off Her Meds

Normally I would have titled this post something like, "This Can't Be Good" or "This Won't Turn Out Well." Both of those would have fit, but I think that as a public service announcement to you, my readers that you needed to be warned and to take steps to protect your family which you can now do simply by reading the headline. But this really won't turn out well. Of course Courtney could just be lying.

Courtney has decided that she has not had success on her most recent albums, not because Kurt is not around anymore to write the lyrics and music for her, but because of her ant-depressants. So, she has stopped taking them. Yep, Courtney is done taking them until she finishes recording her new album. Courtney says "I'm off antidepressants for the moment because my album producer wants me to feel the rage, wants me to be really angry, wants me to face the demons. And I am so f***ing angry!

Yeah, I'm wondering if she perhaps was off her meds when Kurt died. Just saying. Not contributing to the conspiracy theory and in no way would I ever imply or insinuate that Courtney Love had anything to do with the death of Kurt Cobain. I'm just saying.

Considering that I think the last time Courtney had an album come out was about 100 years ago, I'm not sure the world is prepared for Courtney to be off her meds and trying to do things on her own. The one great thing about will be her blog posts should be works of art over the next several months.

wow court, going off your meds with no regard to your child who has to suffer through it for you 'art' and whatever BS you continue to tell yourself to get through each guilt filled day.

  5. jax, I totally agree! Everyone who loved Kurt should watch the movie/documentary Kurt & Courtney, gawd it gave me goosebumps!

In one part of the movie, the guy doing the documentary talked to this other guy who said he'd seen Courtney in a really bad part of town talking to some real scary low-lifes a couple of days before the death. Then a couple days later, the guy who'd talked to the interviewer was found dead on the train tracks! Hmmmmmmm......

  6. Beau..yup it was also the same guy who had large sums of money anonymously deposited into this account a fee weeks b4 kurt's death. most people think he, in fact was hired to kill kurt.

  7. This all sounds like bullshit anyway. Depression is "anger turned inwards," and she's spewing that anger out all over the place!

  8. yeah, antidepressants keep you from being depressed, they have nothing to do with anger. when my depression turned to anger, it was a good thing.
    nice try though, courtney.

  10. My friend's ex-boyfriend was accused by Courtney Love of murdering Kurt Cobain. I'm not making that up. He was a nanny at the time or something. It's a small, weird world, and some of you might even know exactly who I'm talking about.

I always liked Courtney until I found out about that, and I now I honestly just think she's a pyscho. Yeah. I'm with you, Jax. She did it. Or, she was at least complicit.

  11. Er, what is Courtney Love so angry about? Is it because she is a talentless hack? She is a huge celebrity and rich, or she was rich before she blew through all of Kurt's money. She needs to shut the f*ck up and go away.

    Poor Kurt.

And Ernestine, I know exactly who you are talking about!

  12. Caroline, I knew it! I just didn't think someone who knew what I was talking about would respond so quickly. Damn.

The whole story is so freaking convoluted, conspiratorial, and bizarre. A old friend of mine who was living out in L.A. at the time happened to casually mention it one day on the phone or something (at the time, she was living with the dude Courtney had accused), and I was like, WHAAAAT?! I just did some googling and was completely dumbfounded.

Yes. Courtney Love is fucking crazy. Baaaatshit.

I still kinda think that Live Through This is a good album, though. And I loved her in The People Vs. Larry Flynt. No one ever said homegirl WASN'T entertaining.

  13. I know who you're talking about too, Ernestine, and that poor guy will probably never shake the fact that he, among Kurt's other allies, didn't get him out of the house and help. They were both so fucked on drugs and he's naturally depressed (read his journals) that she became so paranoid he was going to leaver her. She would rather him die than not be with her. The sad thing is, I don't think he had any intention of REALLY leaving her, I think he was just too depressed and fucked up on drugs to communicate. Plus, he's a DUDE. With newfound glory. Put that in a pot and add a drugged up paranoid attention-seeking bitch and you have a situation.

  14. Live Through This WAS a great album. (Listen carefully and you can hear Kurt sing on some of the tracks). In the early 90's when she first became famous, I really liked her and what she and her band were doing. It was different, and it was really relevant at the time. Now, she's just insane and crazy, and seems desperate for attention. Whether she had anything to do with Kurt's death...I don't know, but there is some rather compelling evidence, that's for sure. I read that whole report by the private investigator, Tom whatever his name was. I don't know if all of it is true...but if it is, then there's no question about it. Who knows? I don't think she even knows anymore.

  16. I did enjoy Live Through This as well Malibu and Celebrity Skin are excellent songs. Malibu almost always makes me tear up.

Whether or not he was killed by someone else, he would have done the deed himself eventually. The day he died a bunch of us were at a work lunch and someone told me he died. I remember I said, "So he finally did it."

As for Courtney being off her meds - way to fuck up another Christmas with your daughter. Selfish twat.

  17. I completely believe she did it. Read up about the Rome incident - it sounds so much like attempted murder i wonder why the hell no one investigated it (i.e. the police).

Kurt died when he did because he made up a new will excluding Courtney completely. He died before he got to sign it. Kurt also was in discussions with a divorce lawyer (he tried to leave in Rome - a note telling Courtney/people was left then and all his and C's money was on him when he was sent to hospital). He had just got out of rehab, so if either of them got custody of Frances it would have been him (and Courtney would not have access). Everyone around him said he was not suicidal - in fact they say he was turning his life around for the better, and that he was more positive than he was before (he used to be suicidal - that doesn't mean he can't get through it).
There are so many holes in both cases, the police should be repremanded for assuming it was accident (Rome) and suicide (LA).

Why haven't they re-opened the case with all the info/evidence out now?

I also believe that Courtney killed that woman that was close to Kurt. She may also have had something to do with the suspect death of the man that passed a lie detector test saying she offered him $50,000 to off Kurt. Also the narcotics detective that talked exclusively to Courtney when she wanted to rat out drug dealers etc was found dead a couple of weeks before the woman (who was in a band with Courtney, but like Kurt, was leaving her and Seattle and had just got clean from heroin. They were both found with too much heroin in their systems for someone who had gotten clean to handle).
How many deaths have to be associated to her and have connection to one another before that crazy freakshow is put on trial?

I don't glorify Nirvana - they were a good band, but not the best in the world. However this cost 4 connected lives and over 70 copy-cat suicides. That is a fucking tradegy whatever your feelings of Kurt.

That nanny you mentioned is assumed to be in on the murder because he was used by Courtney to 'babysit' Kurt and keep a tab on him to report back to Courtney. He was also - if i remember correctly - a part of the small search party (consisting of about 2/3 people - if Courtney was afraid he was going to off himself she would have got all of his friends looking for him. She called a PI instead of the police - not the actions of someone fearful of their loved one..) If he had no part of it, then he was probably used by Courtney as someone she could frame.

I hope one day everyone involved will be both brought to justice, and get everything they deserve).

Sorry for the lengthy post - thought i'd summarise what the link someone posted would tell you (very good idea to go through that site - lots of info and evidence collected that would make any Hole fan suspicious - and this comes from one!)
