Today's Blind Items
You always hear about actors or actresses being stalked, but rarely is it the other way around. With all the Paula Abdul mess going on, it reminded me of something that happened three or four years ago. It involved what is now probably a C list actor, but at the time he was the s**t. He wasn't A list, but there was hardly any girl or woman from about the age of 12-25 who didn't know who he was. Every week he was right there staring at them from the television set and every day he was sitting on the front porch of this girl he met in the town where they filmed the show. He met her when she was an extra on the show and from that day forward he just was always around. She liked the attention at first. He was the star of the show after all. But, at some point it just became creepy and he would not stop following her or calling her. Her parents finally called the cops and a producer was dispatched from LA to handle the mess. Our actor was never arrested, and in return for keeping quiet, the girl got a free year of tuition for college and a brand new car.

ReplyDeletewasn't chad michael murry married to someone on the show during that time? i know they divorced, it could be the reason, but i just think that if his wife was on the set, she would have tried to stop it? i could be wrong though.

My guess is James Van Der Beek as well. Wasn't that filmed in North Carolina? That seems very much like a "town" that would have front porches, etc., based on the wording of the BI.

I immediately thought of Dawson's but then the blind said 3 or so years old, right? I'll go with CMM, was / is he on the OC?

ReplyDeletevan der beak is married and was for the last few years of Dawsons i think. it went off the air in 2003 so its not DC. we're looking for 2004-05.

Hi am a first timer. My first thought was dawson creek. I haven't a clue about the actor though. Then again it could be someone from the OC.I loved that show. I remember watching it on sunday afternoons. That's when it was shown here in the UK.
ReplyDeleteI think James Van Der Beek is quite happily married since 2003. And I think Creek has been over since then as well, so not quite the 3-4 yr timeframe (although, who knows if that's not slightly off to provide a red herring)

And as Adrienne pointed out, there is the OC reference in the pics...
Ben McKenzie was a good guess, but I don't think he's considered to be C List now, is he? Lower than that as he's been MIA since the show's demise.

It's probably not Chad Michael Murray, since he was married to Sophia Bush, cheated on her with Paris Hilton (while she cheated on Nick Carter), and then almost immediately started dating a high school senior who was an extra on his show, to whom he is now engaged. Plus, CMM was never the shit.

Smallville films in Vancouver and I want to say Veronica Mars filmed in San Diego but I could be wrong about that. Jason Dohring is pretty creepy. Yes, married, but still incredibly creepy. Tom Welling? Mike Rosenbaum?

ReplyDeleteFirst immediate guess: Adam Brody. I know he dated Rachel Bilson for a while on set though, so maybe not. But based on this timeline, I doubt it's someone from Dawson's Creek.

Anyhow, methinks Vanderdouche. Filmed in North Carolina. Only state that prolly still has 'towns'. Only thing is it ended in 2003. Which is five years ago. Enty said 3 or 4. Could he have meant 4 or 5 instead?

The only other name I can come up with is Travis Fimmel of "Tarzan." But that was on five years ago.

Second: The show wrapped in 2003, and for seasons 5 & 6 they were in Boston 90% of the time, so the last year they were in Wilmington full time was 2001, making that 7 years ago.
Third: Enty wouldn't say 3-4 years if he meant 5-7.
I gotta go with CMM or that dude from the OC. I am actually leaning towards the OC guy. He was quite the shit for about 15 mins and like the rest of that cast, gone now.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't be Ben McKenzie. The show was filmed in LA, and the supposed OC pier was actually the Hermosa Beach pier. Also, it was a pretty well-known fact that he frequented many of the gay bars in WH at the time.

Wouldn't be Kevin McKidd, as that show doesn't fit the demo, and it was shot on a closed soundstage in Italy.
CMM sounds right, as it was filmed in NC and he was quite the shit in that demo at the time.
My first thought was JVDB, but apparently the timeline is all wrong.
ReplyDeleteI don't think dispatching would be required to anywhere in the LA or even SD areas, so I don't think it's anyone from Veronica Mars or the OC.
I like the CMM guess.
I am thinking something that was filmed in Vancouver or Toronto. Dawson's is a good guess not being in LA, but what about shows filmed in Canada?

Hello OC cast?" me thinks it could be as well Adam Brody we are talking about. Everybody was crazy about him a couple of years ago for a very short time, first on "Gilmore girls", then "The OC", so... It's only that I SO MUCH dislike CMM, I simply WANT this to be him and not the reallyreally goodlooking Adam. Allright, I'm going to shut up now.
