#2 - Kindness - I guess she is a C list television actress, but until a few years ago would have been considered B list when she was on a long running hit comedy. Well, despite the fact she is married with child/ren, she finds the time each week to spend about 15 hours weekly serving food to homeless people. She does this in the mornings before then coming home and seeing her kids off to school. Often she will go again in the evenings and take her kids to help.
#4 - Kindness - Former B list television actress. Now, she is still a B, but is not really doing anything. A list name recognition though. Oh, and she's married. Last year she gave away every penny she earned for a show she was working on. Every penny and it was a substantial sum. It is not like she is hurting for money, but she gave away well over $3M to charity.

Ok - I agree these are great deeds - no qualms with that.
ReplyDeleteHowever, Enty called Matthew Perry former A List in an earlier blind, and now says Lisa Kudrow is former B List.
Don't you think that the Friends former TV status should all be the same?
I think I'll make a list of caring celebs. so that I can remember to support their career.

This does not take away from her charity work - just know that she wouldn't mind abolishing some of our rights occasionally.
I still loathe the zelous Heaton. She probably enumerates the sins of the people she's serving food to.

ReplyDeleteHey ENTY ... what's with those 'C List' and 'B List' classifications. I would have thought that Heaton would have been a solid B, if not A when on ELR. She was frequently nominated for an Emmy -- and won. Kudrow was on another huge hit. I could see her downgrading from an A to a B ... but as someone wrote Matthew Perry is an A lister? I can't think of anything notable (good or bad) that he's done since the end of friends except of course, make the moves on Natasha Wagner
ReplyDeleteI agree, Patricia Heaton may be nutty with breast implants, but she's doing some serious charity work. Can't say that many people in Hollyweird or, among us posters, are as willing to donate their time to charity.

Kind of thrilling to hear Lisa Kudrow has a heart of gold, as she's so adorable and smart in her work. Patricia Heaton is more of a friendly acquaintance from a few years back than a real friend, but I want to say that she's extremely unlikely to "enumerate the sins" of the people she's serving food to, as was suggested by Impertinent Vixen. She was raised Catholic and still feels strongly about abortion, but is a very low-key religious person in her daily life. Although others in my circle of friends knew her far better, she was always very friendly and warm to me and anything BUT judgmental. In fact, she was far more likely to be self-deprecating.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Patricia Heaton doesn't seem like the type of person who would go "crazy evangelical" on anyone. She may have some strong ideas and viewpoints, but who in this world honestly doesn't? I think it's because the opinions she holds are at times unpopular that she gets a bad rep. Even though I disagree with some of her viewpoints, I really respect Heaton for having them, and respect her and Kudrow (who is probably one of the smartest women ever to become a TV star -- biology degree from Vassar and all) for doing what they do and not just paying lip service to the idea of charity.
