Blind Items Revealed

December 22, 2008

#1 - This kindness is not anything spectacular, but since it happened this morning, I thought I would share it. B-/C+ television actor with about six years on the same crime show. Also one of my all-time favorite characters from one of the biggest films of all time. Anyway, our actor was in line at LAX this morning at the ticket counter with about 100 "everyday people" in front of him. People in line were asking for photographs and getting autographs and so a ticket agent asked our actor if he wanted to be moved to the front of the line. Our actor said, "Why?" The ticket agent said they had a special policy for celebrities which caused our actor to say, "Let me know when you see one."

#1 - Vincent D'Onofrio

  1. Interesting. Wouldn't have pegged him for this, but it's a nice surprise.

  2. Love it. He seems like good people

  3. Adventures in Babysitting? lol.

thanks for the reveals Enty! x

  4. This was going to be my guess for the guy on the crime drama who forwards his checks to charity. I wonder if ENT is making sure he gets some credit for his good deeds?

  5. I just saw that again the other day jax...he was so young!!!! Almost didn't recognize him

  6. This is my favorite kindness of the day. Couldn't tell you why because it's comparatively small - maybe because it's such a surprise.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I hope this isn't because he's having a depression or pill problem. that's been a little buzz. hope not, he's a good one.

    ReplyDelete
  8. love him love him love him!!!

    quirkiest character ever.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Well, I guess Gary Sinese can't be the reveal for every kindness blind.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Oh yeah, what's the film?

    ReplyDelete
  11. I am stumped. I know he has done some good films, but I just checked IMDB and I can't figure out the "Favorite character from one of the biggest films of all time".

    ReplyDelete
  12. which movie?
    full metal jacket?

did i ask this when the BI first came out? lol

    ReplyDelete
  13. I had to google him, sorry. There's not a lot of telly watched in this house. Or war/army films. Feel like such a square :/

    ReplyDelete
  14. ms snarky - I have a feeling you're on to something. There was a blind item here a few weeks ago about a series having to be put on hold because one of the main actor's recreational use had become an addiction. I hope it's not him, because I have a huge crush on him.

I like him even more now that I know about this blind item!

    ReplyDelete
  15. He was the "bug guy" in the first "Men in Black"

    ReplyDelete
  16. maybe edgar in men in black.

    ReplyDelete
  17. klhast - great minds think alike....

    ReplyDelete
  18. Men in Black? Seriously? Probably, but I wouldn't use all those superlatives to describe either the film or his role.

    ReplyDelete
  19. He is so cute. He is like a teddy bear and he just an 'everyday person'. I love it!

What movie is one of your favorites Enty?

    ReplyDelete
  20. The best thing about this blind is that Enty delivered it on my b-day!

Enty, you so very much rock!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm glad to know his ego is in check. Love his work, you can just see how much he puts into his roles.
USA/NBC did delay the new season of L&O Criminal Intent a few months.
If that blind was him, I hope he gets the help he needs.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I loved him in Men in Black. That scene with him at the beginning of the movie really set the tone. Very memorable, and I think it's one of the reasons a few people guessed him the first time around.

    Sounds like a good guy.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh snap! Private Pyle! I had to look him up but he was the shit in Full Metal Jacket! I love that movie.

"Did you parents have any children that lived?!?!" classic.

    ReplyDelete
  24. yea, looks like julie nailed it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. NOO!! biggest films I think refers to him in FULL METAL JACKET! Gosh.. I can't believe I didn't realize it, he's tied for 2nd favoriate law and order actor with Sam Watersomething, and 1st place is of course Jerry Orbach!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. He was also the fisherman/boyfriend of one of the women in Mystic Pizza. Not a huge movie but very whimsical and fun and the start of Julia Roberts career.

BTW, I've been reading this blog for about 4 months now and LOVE it.

ENTY - I can't tell you how much I love that you are doing a REVEAL. I love and hate Blinds because I love to read the salacious details but its frustrating never to know the person. So you are fab in my book Enty.

Also, I like the regular posters. There are not too many "nasties" and most of you are really knowledgable. I'm impressed with how many of these blinds you all guessed correctly.

Can I just add I'm glad the drunken boob trying to pick up girls by trotting out his resume was NOT Ryan Gosling? I think he is too decent to do that. Besides, he belongs to Rachel McAdams. They WILL get back together (I hope).

Yes, I'm Canadian and we are fiercely loyal to our own. But I've been known to be rather fond of Americans too.....

    ReplyDelete
  27. Wow. I love that this was him. I always hear how he is rather difficult, so it's nice to hear a redeeming story about him.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I love this man. He is so fantastic! I am going to share this reveal with all of the VDO lovers on the L&O CI board (God, I am a geek).

I love Full Metal Jacket, too.

Here is some VDO trivia: Renee Zellweger thanked him when she won the Oscar for Cold Mountain.

    ReplyDelete
  29. So awesome. Why can't all other actors keep their heads.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love him and always have.
Loved him in AIB, but he slayed me in The Cell.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm so glad this was Vincent. I ADORE him!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. That is great! I loved him in Adventures in Babysitting and Mystic Pizza.

    ReplyDelete
  33. ant that's why I absolutely LOVE Vincent

    ReplyDelete
  34. I had a hunch this blind was about him. I think he tries hard to be humble about his celebrity. As to those pesky rumors about him and some drug problem holding up production, that blind couldn't be about him or CI since production never shut down; the airing of the episodes was pushed back. All the cast and crew have been working non-stop except during the holiday break. You can go to some websites that list the dates when they film and see that they never stopped production on the show during the time of the blind. I'm thinking that other blind was a show filmed at a studio where no one outside of it would know if production was halted. And, if VDO looks worn out it might have something to do with his excessive work schedule, charity events, and a 10-month old baby.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ok shopgirl you may be right this time but a while back he did have a drug problem. (Yes, it was confirmed).

    ReplyDelete
  36. Vincent has never had a drug problem, where on earth did you hear that! He collapsed on set 4 years ago because he was burning the candle at both ends working and finishing a movie nothing to do with drugs. Thanks for the reveal ENT he obviously wants to be treated just like any other passenger on board ( and a first class passanger at that) and not like a celebrity, cute.

    ReplyDelete
  37. No it was NOT confirmed. Don't libel a great actor who's a great person. His only addiction seems to be tobacco. And maybe his work.

I don't gossip about things I only know by hearsay, but an actor in a really big show, with a drug problem, has caused problems. You won't hear me say who. But it wasn't the wonderful Vincent.

    Oh my...

I was positive that it was Vincent; just wondered why he'd use LAX instead of taking a flight straight from NY -but he must've probably been doing some project in LA.

As Shopgirl, Elizabeth and many otheres mentioned (even the first time around) he's a magnificent actor and person; and it's not easy to pick a single character he's played, as the best... But I'd say that Enty might've been referring to FMJ, among others.

Vincent's been contributing to various charity works -most in private- including Bpeace, Lee County Veterans Outreach Inc., Fallen Officer memorial, two charity foundations providing for underprivileged kids in Utah, to go Christmas shopping with a police officer.....

    And "Not on my";

I wonder who might be your "confirming source" on this alleged drug problem; but one thing's for sure:

    It doesn't really matter...!!

We've all made irrational moves and mistakes in our lives, one way, or another (don't tell me that you haven't).

Vincent is a human being, he might've -allegedly- had a hard time, coping with a demanding job, or a demanding life -allegedly- for an alleged period of time.....

All that matters, is that he's got over it; and moved on.

He is a self-made man; who's passed another test.

For that, I give him a standing ovation.

And thanks Ent for this positive blind item...

    It was refreshing.

I just can't really agree with your "rating system"...!!

    I'm a perfectionist -like Vincent- and can't rate him as a "B-/C+"....

He's much, much better than that.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Holy "double post," Saghy, LOL. But I've gotta agree with you - B-/C+?!!! Seriously?!

    ReplyDelete
  41. God......If Mr' D'Onofrio is only rated as a B-/C+......who in the hell is an A????? You're kidding right? The Human Chameleon has been called an actors' actor AND the greatest character actor of all time.
He was hospitalized a few years ago because of EXHAUSTION......NOT DRUGS.

It's just like him to be humble because, that's what he is. From reading about fan encounters with him, he is always a gentle man, gracious and patient even when tired. He and his family are also great philanthropists.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Love his reaction.

I wonder what Eva (the diva) Longoria would do? To watch her bitch out in public would be a-may-zing.
