Free Pancakes At IHOP

Tomorrow is one of my favorite days. Yes, it is Tuesday, which is generally the only day I am hangover free, but it's more than that. No, not a Mardi Gras party although those are fun as well. I mean as a fat guy, I think of Fat Tuesday as my own personal holiday. No, tomorrow is the day IHOP gives away free pancakes. A free short stack of pancakes which is not really enough for me, but there are about 3 IHOP's in a fairly close range and with a couple of visits at different times of the day, timed to coincide with new shifts, I manage.

No, I don't do that. But, the thing is when you go, they do ask for a donation which goes to the Children's Miracle Network and other local charities. It's up to you if you want to give anything. No pressure from anyone there. Last year they raised just shy of $1M, and so this year they are really trying for that magic number. Hey, it's free food and a great cause so you know I will be there.

  1. pancakes, yum. and free pancakes, even more so!

hopefully they have the same onslaught the denny's peeps had when they had their free grand slam day...esp. since this is for a good cause.

  2. An Ihop is one of my most wanted places to visit in the States even though people always tell me it's awful.

The fact you even have a place that does pancakes 24/7 is enticing to me and damn, if I'm not going to try one, sticky tables or not.

  5. Never been to one. My truck won't let me turn the wheel into the parking lot.

    It probably knows best.

  6. Thanks, Enty for the reminder! My son goes to Shriners, which is one of the charities they are helping (at least in Colorado) and is therefore one of the indirect recipients of the pancake love. :-)

  7. I'll only go if they promise an encore of last night's West Hollywood IHOP floor show:
Nicky Hilton getting pushed on her bony ass by a "transient" which is code for an "everyday person".

What made that episode extra funny was that it was at 5am, and, as Michael K joked, likely a drug pickup. We all know that skinny bitch wasn't there for the food.

  12. Peeps, don't sweat not having an IHOP, it ain't all that even if it's free.

But, if you go don't forget to leave a tip in addition to your donation!
