Lots Of Empty Seats On The Britney Tour

When looking at advance ticket sales for Britney's tour which kicks off tomorrow, it seems that the venues outside of the United States are more likely to be sold out or close to sold out, while most of the dates in the US have plenty of good seats available. In fact thee are lots and lots of seats available. So many good seats available that those $500 tickets have suddenly become $35 seats as dates of the show come closer. It's one thing to play in front of an empty upper balcony, but it also sucks when the front ten rows of your concert are also empty.

Things are so bad for the ticket sales that the opening show of the tour is not even sold out. This is the one I thought would be for sure sold out because it is the one show I can guarantee you that she will be at. Anything after tomorrow I think is 50/50 whether she will be there or if it will go on as scheduled. I know British bookmakers are taking bets on the over/under for the number of days this tour lasts and right now I would definitely have to go with the under. I think that somewhere along the way here there is going to be a Janet Jackson mystery type illness and there are going to be lots of canceled shows with a promise to make up the dates that never happens. If you want to see Britney you need to get to one of the first dates of the tour.

  3. I sincerely doubt that she'll even make it to mid-April. I call end of March before it all tanks.

  4. So tired of this dumb-ass. I don't buy the "mental illness" BS one bit. Ha ha ha, Shitney. Take your $$$ and go be a mom, FFS, you 'tard.

  5. Wow, QS aren't you being optimistic! I also would be surprised she makes it through March. I think after 4 or 5 shows she will start making excuses.

  6. It's TOO SOON. I think her comeback could have been so much more spectacular and successful if she had waited to release an album, and waited to tour for another year or so. Just disappear for a while and come back when she's really ready. I think this will have disastrous results, not only for the ticket sales but for her mental health as well.

  8. I give her 4 shows tops. The 5th will be cancelled last minute but blamed on technical crap...6th will be exhaustion and 7th will be Kfed's fault.

  9. Jax is right, but the Brittaloonies will be taking him down for the first cancellation. They crazy like that.

  11. She's just like her fans! They are all 25 years old with 2 kids, divorced, broke and have to go to work too!

  12. Jamie's Girl...LOL.
    thankyou for that.

  13. Ooh, I'd pay $35 to see the show.

  14. Oh, and a more interesting question to me is whether the breakdown will happen on or off stage. I can see her dad/managers basically forcing her along every second of every day, but once she's out on stage she won't have them to prop her up. If you go to a show, bring a video camera!

  15. Where are these $35 tickets?! I am going to the first show tomorrow, I can't wait, but if I can get better seats for that price I will!

  16. arent they doing a really good job covering up the crazy right now, though? u dont see it out in the open anymore... that said, im with you - too soon, way too soon...

  17. there will be an "issue" with one of her kids--that will take care of the rest.

  18. enty, stop being such a cynic, pollstar doesn't lie. her major markets are sold out (w/ a couple of platform mkts thrown in for good measure). the only major that isn't s/o is l.a., so we'll see how staples competes against honda ctr (i'm sorry, that'll always be arrrowhead pond to me), and you know damn well to a promotor the majors are the ones that count.

i too agree it's way too soon for her to be touring...but i'm really pulling for her and hoping she knocks it out of the park. let's hope she can keep focus.

  19. I am betting more than 50%. Daddy keeps her pretty well controlled. I'm sure theres plenty of rest built into the tour.

  20. And yet, I can't get seats for Dallas...

  21. I have trouble believing there are many people left who could afford $500 tickets at just about any concert, not just Britney's.

The concert may fold after a few dates, but it would only be good for her.

  22. can't find $35 for Sac. not willing to drive to Oakland. bummer, the show does look pretty good.

  23. I can't find anything at all, in any price range, for Dallas. Stupid promoters. And Houston is apparently sold out. But I'm going to keep checking. Sometimes they release more tickets as the show gets closer.

  24. having been ticket bitch for the parrot head clubs (my term, not theirs) many years ago, a lot of seats are bought up by scalpers (excuse me, TICKET BROKERS) hoping to make a mint.
enty's right, more than likely. unfortunately the public can't access the $35 seats because the TBs bought them all up and will still make money off of them.
anybody who really, really wants to see her, try the ticket window at show time.
    trust.
also, let me re-iterate, CLUBS. i was a go-between, not an agent, broker,or procurer. i just know for a fact that the same tickets that we had access to for for, say, $65, were sold through a broker for upwards of $300. the first 10 rows were generally (at the time) for friends/family of the band, CORONA f/f, other "special guests". hey, my brother got like 2nd row once. these folks could go on ebay and sell the damn things for the price of a small yacht. it's only scalping if you do it at the actual venue.

  25. I will report back tomorrow on how good tomorrow is if people want. I am so excited for it, I can't wait!

  26. I am not sure it is just Britney and the fall out from her crazy. Other tours are apparently also having serious issues with asses in seats.

There is a hell of a recession out here ..
