Today's Blind Items
This former boy bander has begging his former group to go out on tour again because he has no money. Some bad investments and spending a ridiculous amount on toys and gambling has left him with no money. He doesn't want to have to declare bankruptcy because then everyone will find out about who is biggest creditors are and they are not a good list.

ReplyDeleteTotally agree. This has to be Gary! I love Gary. He was the real star of that group. They aren't the same without him! I mean, if Gary had been in their movie, I might have gone this weekend and seen it and it might have made more money. (lol)

ReplyDeleteI have to think Lance Bass for this one. Remember, he was supposed to fly to the ISS as a "space tourist" on a Russian Soyuz capsule, but his financial support disappeared. Yet the Russians got enough money to keep him in training.

ReplyDeleteI doubt it's JC. He's notoriously cheap. He doesn't buy big toys, not even cars. And he's been working steadily since nsync ended.
ReplyDeleteLance has been talking about a reunion for the past 2 years now. He's also been trying to sell his house for about that long.
It could be one of many other boy bands, although I don't know why any of them would think they could make money from touring. It's not like 98 Degrees or O-Town has a ton of fans just waiting around with baited breath for a reunion.

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure drug dealers and the mob don't show up on the credit report. They tend to use a less legitimate method of recouping their losses.
i doubt it's ricky since he's had a fairly successful solo career. if he needed money, he'd be better off touring alone.

nobody cares about 98 degrees. and new edition is still around i think, they just use a different name if i remember correctly. most of these groups have fairly popular solo artists from them.
that only leaves *nsync- justin is doing fine solo, jc has been working steadily, joey is sitting pretty from broadway and tv gigs.
that just leaves chris k and lance. and i know chris has party issues and reeks of desperation altho lance sending out rumors of a reunion reeks of desperation, too.
i call tie! yay, *nsync reunion!! :D LOL

ReplyDeleteI don't think it's Chris though. He grew up extremely poor, he only owns one house, and he has a couple regular jobs in Orlando. I don't think he even has investments. He just sticks all his money in trusts for his sisters and lives off interest and royalties.

ReplyDeleteI am thinking that it is probably someone that has creditors against his public image. Lance is out as a gay man, so it's not like if his big creditors are porn that we'd be all "Oh how embarrassing" It's almost expected.
ReplyDeleteI also agree that it's got to be LEGAL creditors. What would embarrass a celebrity? I'm just thinking that it is someone who would be really embarrassed by their choices though I'm not sure who it could be. However, I think that if we knew who those creditors are we'd figure it out ...

As to the answer, I'm not sure. I would've said Nick Carter, except for the fact that Backstreet Boys has been on tour recently.
My husband is a huge New Edition fan from back in the day (don't ask). Recently, like a few weeks ago, he told me he heard they were doing a reunion thing. I'm loving the Bobby guess.

It has to be Lance or Chris. You know both of them are praying to the Gods that Justin will agree to a reunion. The rest of the band would jump on it like a fat kid on a cupcake. I am leaning towards Chris though. He did that Man band shit and he also did that country music reality show. Both were epic fails. As sad as DWTS is it is better than the choices that Chris has made in the past couple of years.
ReplyDeleteEd, Take That is touring in the UK--they released a cd late last year (same title as Britts Cd and 1 day apart) so it can't be them. I love the second coming of Take That (more than the first).

Ms.Leigh, that's an excellent point! If we want Justin to come back, though, Lance isn't the way to go. He and Lance have been in an epic bitch fight since Lance's memoir came out.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking NKOTB too and I don't know if the blind is worded to exclude them. There is a typo, I think, causing confusion. Is the first sentence "boy bander *was* begging -or- bander *has been* begging. If it is the first(*was*), then maybe it is one of the bands on tour now or with a tour planned already.
