Today's Blind Items

This former A list always movie actress still considers herself A list even though in reality she is about D. She does have A list name recognition and was the star of one of the most famous movies of all time. Not highest grossing, just one of the most famous. Anyway, she is not known for her quiet demeanor and when she has a drink or seven can get rather nasty. Recently she got into a fight with her current boy toy and during the argument threw a glass or two or three at her toy. Well, on one of her throws she missed and hit an original Picasso she has hanging on her wall. The painting was shredded by the glass as it shattered as well as the beverage she had inside. Of course she told her insurance company it fell during a mild earthquake and landed on a glass table beneath the painting, shattering the table and damaging the painting.

I was going to say Faye Dunaway, but the Picasso link got me, so I'd agree, Sharon Stone.

    Good sleuthing, JW!

  7. My first thought was Faye Dunaway, but I like Sharon Stone too.

  8. AnnMarie, you beat me!

  9. I was thinking Julia Roberts for some reason, I guess b/c of her speech "honoring" Tom Hanks. Famous movie being Pretty Woman, although pretty sure she doesn't fit into the D list category.

  10. Julia Roberts is still A list, even though Duplicity didn't do that way.

It describes SS perfectly. Stone ftw.

Sharon was my guess for the Melanie Griffith blind a couple days ago, but I agree that she fits better with this one.

What a shame that she ruined a priceless work of art by being a drunken bitch.

  12. This was a good one! Well done, everyone!

  13. Of course Sharon Stone. I never really got all the hoopla over her anyway. She was in that one movie that was only famous because of her slutty crotch shot. After that, she had nothing but bombs because, A.) she can't act her way out of a paper bag and B.) she isn't really all that hot compared with a lot of other Hollywood actresses, in my opinion.

She's lucky if she's D. Never liked her. Can you tell???

  16. No one can deny that this is Ms. Stone. Great detective work!

  17. Sharon Stone was my first thought too, but who knew she could still get the boytoys? She must pay 'em with her insurance settlements.

    Amazonblue...that's so funny!
Nice to learn a silly little thing like, "when two people post at the same time, Google will default to alphabetical order." Yeah, I'm a geek. Whatever. : )

  19. Would Fatal Attraction be considered "one of the most famous movies of all time" though?

  20. Never take the crazy out of Sharon Stone.

  21. Sharon Stone, first thought. Basic Instinct is infamous for the bare coochie shot in the interrogation room. whoo hoo.

  22. Is there any point in even guessing at this point? I agree with the masses :P

  23. If any of you haven't seen this, it's one of the best satirical summaries of Sharon "Last Bus to Crazytown" Stone I've ever seen. SO funny.

  24. Sharon Stone- first thought.

  25. I beg to differ on her (Sharon Stone) talent, although I am not a fan for other reasons. She was nominated for an Oscar for "Casino" and won the Golden Globe that year for the same role. When she puts her mind to it, combined with a good script, she can shine.

    ReplyDelete
  26. sharon stone's really only famous for that crotch shot.
her career has been spotty and the only real stand-out performance she ever gave was in 'casino.' other than that, i think she pretty much sucks.

Sharon Stone was my first thought. I think Pulp Fiction is the film Enty refers to.

  28. Thought it was Ms.Stone when I 1st read it.

  29. Sharon Stone--knew within the first twoo sentences.

  30. What a waste.
That makes me sad, a piece of art is destroyed by someone who clearly doesn't give a crap about it.
If she did she wouldn't be throwing glasses in the vicinity! Drunken idiot

  31. my first thought was Sharon Stone...she's evil!

    ReplyDelete
  32. She was gorgeous in Schwarzeneggar's Total Recall. But after that, NADA for me!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Sharon Stone. The woman is a hot mess former A-lister now C list.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Sharon Stone for sure. Wow even I guessed this one from the first sentence. Probably because I saw Gloria on tv yesterday.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Sharon "Tragic" Stone without a doubt.

  36. Plug your ears.

    That BITCH!

    Sincerely,
    an art lover

  37. Sooo Sharon Stone

    ReplyDelete
  38. Just to throw a different guess out there...Carrie Fisher?

Though Star Wars didn't exactly pale in the highest grossing department...

    ReplyDelete
  39. Love the Sharon Stone guess...

But she did do TV. She was a special guest star on a multiple episode arc on The Practice.

Yet, I can seriously believe she flung a highball glass, filled with Scotch, at her Picasso.

    ReplyDelete
  40. SS was my first, and only thought but she did TV. The Practice (3ep arc), Huff (3ep arc), a Turkish Tv series (2ep arc), narration on a cartoon (13ep), and one episode of Will and Grace.

  41. star_grades, Sharon Stone wasn't in Pulp Fiction...

  42. Don't forget her glowing performance as the trailer park "Welcome Wagon" in an epsiode of Roseanne. I thought it fit her to the tee.

  43. Alex de Campi - that gofugyourself.com link was HILARIOUS!! Thank you for that!

  44. Count me in the Sharon Stone camp.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I immediately thought Sean Young too as she thinks she's A list and is a notoriously nasty drunk, but don't think she has cash or credit to buy a Picasso. So, now I'm thinking good old Sharon as well.

    ReplyDelete
  46. She also wasn't in Fatal Attraction. That was Glenn Close.
