Demi Moore Should Brush Her Teeth

Normally I don't post stories simply based on a photo. There are exceptions of course. Like yesterday when trying to figure out whether Hayden P was getting blood drawn and why. And then there is this photo today of Demi Moore looking rather Amy Winehouseish if I do say so myself. Of course you kind of expect Amy to be missing teeth. When drug abuse is your reason for living, brushing and flossing your teeth are not always at the top of your to-to list.

I mean, the saying is that you should brush after every meal. When you are smoking crack 24/7 there really are not that many meals, and so your teeth suffer.

Demi Moore took this picture of herself at her dentist's office and then Twittered it to the world. So, does it ruin her image? I for one know I will be using his picture long after today. I want to know why she had to get it replaced. I'm sure it is from something from a long time ago. Either she got fake teeth put in or maybe she got in a fight a long time ago, but it must suck to have to deal with that for the rest of your life. Plus, it wouldn't be much fun to be at The Golden Globes or something and bite into something and realize, "whoops, there goes a tooth." The next thing you know she is whistling everytime she speaks and everyone realizes Ashton is married to a woman with no teeth.

  4. Crossed a line ... keep the illusions up, Demi. We don't need to see that! At least I don't want to.

Kind of makes me think ... there was a blind that implied that she and her mom were once high paid prostitutes. If so, this would be Demi if she'd never moved up in the world.

  5. my friend had a dead front tooth since childhood after a softball accident. it was a little discolored but wasn't a real problem until she got older---then she had to have it replaced. maybe that's what happened to demi. personally, i think the picture is funny as hell. that she took it herself makes it that much funnier.

  8. "I for one know I will be using his picture long after today."

Reason #23,452 why we love you Enty.

I'm an old fogie - I prefer NOT to put any of my embarrassing pictures out for the world to see. Of course, some of my friends aren't quite so discreet, darn them. :)

Oh, I dunno, I've known men who thought a toothless woman was a good thing.

For some reason, pictures of toothless gums, even just one tooth, just make me shudder. I can't handle it!

    that's EXACTLY what it is

  14. its actually really weird, i never remember what I dream but this morning I woke up dreaming I had lost four teeth! They just fell out of my mouth. I had JUST forgotten all about it when I saw this picture, it all came back to me and yuck, I really don´t want to have that same dream tonight...

  17. I often have a dream where my teeth shatter. Having said that, I think this pic is pretty funny. She probably just had something repaired *L*.

  18. I dunno ....I don't think this looks like her at all.... I'm skeptical....

  19. who wears sunglasses in the dentist's chair?

  20. My dentist has sunglasses on hand in case you're bothered by the lamp. I usually wear them.

  23. John: put your finger on the screen over her mouth, and you'll see. Besides, if she posted/twitted/whatever-the-terminology-is-ed it, there's no reason to think it isn't her.

This, after all, is a woman who wasn't shy about stating she had a lot of work done a few years back, I think including her knees?

I'd say at least she has a sense of humor, however juvenile it might be - maybe that's the attraction for Ashton?

  24. It's not always bad habits that lead to bad teeth. My brother-in-law lost his front tooth when an idiot cousin swung a large metal train and hit my brother-in-law in the mouth. The kid didn't do it on purpose he wanted to "see a train fly."

As to why Demi decided to share I won't begin to guess.

  25. It does sound weird to blast a pic like this of yourself around the world. (Me? When I'm in the dentist's chair? I'm screaming my head off and crying like a baby so you're never gonna see THAT pic!)

On the other hand, if she releases a pic like this, she doesn't have to worry about some tab coming out and saying Ashton punched her tooth out or something. Maybe pro-active move on her part?

Um. Wait. I'm not sure she thinks that far ahead. Nevermind :-)

  26. i sent pix of my butt to a friend after my back surgery. with a big "hi, terri!" and a smily face on the big bruised area, showing both fresh scars with all the staples.
she probably lost a cap, it takes a couple of days to get a new one made.
i think it's funny. not something angie jolie would do!

  27. oh, and i have that dream, too. often. and i'm freaked by the dentist. right now i can't even get a cleaning because of damage done by the seizure of '07. not good!

  28. I remember talking with siblings about dreams of your teeth falling out (I have them often, too, usually one loose one and then several drop out), and some know-it-all said that dreams about teeth falling out actually signify sex. My smartass brother then turned around and asked, "when I dream about sex does that mean my teeth are gonna fall out?"

    ReplyDelete
  29. LOL, lotto! Teeth falling out is the most common dream there is.

    The sidebar is good.

I think Demi likes to show that she can be a regular person, with a regular sense of humour too.

  30. I smashed my two front teeth when I fell head first down a hill walking home from school.
Getting them replaced is not a pleasant procedure! But I have to agree with Demi, if one falls out it is pretty funny!

  31. geederr= it's a roast of Demi= ok freaky...all the way around- ugh,ick and yuck!

  32. "It's not always bad habits that lead to bad teeth."

One of my front teeth is hot/cold sensitive and slightly discolored from an elevator slam-dancing incident in college. I wouldn't be surprised if I had to have it taken out someday. At least I don't have a dent in my head like my friend Norm. :)

  33. moosh, that's a lot cooler than my story!
slammed into the monkey bars in second grade. stupid dentist tried to file it without novocaine.
thus enters my fear of dentistry.
it is "bonded" and the color isn't right, and it still hurts as bad as the other top teeth.

  34. Moosh,

Love that!Sounds more fun then my bro's flying metal train anyday!
