Today's Blind Items
This C list television/sometime film actress had one big hit on television and a nice steady paycheck from it for at least four or five years. Since then it has been hit or miss with television and movies with a more misses than hits. Anyway, this actress has a great story that she will share with anyone who will listen. It seems that on this hit show she had a female co-star who was not so much into guys if you know what I mean. However, it was more secret at that time then it is now. Anyway the co-star sat our C list actress down and without any kind of introduction or preamble or chit chat said, "You know I f**k bi**ches right?" Our C list actress who couldn't believe they were having this conversation, said "Oh yeah. Sure I knew," even though she really wasn't 100% sure at that time either. Our co-star then said, "Good. Just checking." She then got up and walked away and presumably to tell another person.

I'm liking Calista and Portia for this one, although Cynthia and Kristin is funnier if you imagine the conversation as their SATC characters.
ReplyDeleteI like cicero's guess. Queen Latifah and Kim Coles co-starred on Living Single on Fox from 1993 to 1998. Kim has been in several things since then, but none have been as successful.

Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis sounds like a winner from get-a-life.

For some reason Brooke Shields and Kathy Griffin came to mind, though I don't know about Griffin's orientation....

I thought Portia was open about it when she was on Ally McBeal. I remember an interview where she spoke about her then girlfriend. So I'm not sure if she fits this blind.

I'm thinking the Lucy Liu would probably be a better guess than Calista because Bros & Sisters is a hit, and Lucy has had a few bombs in her past (most recently Cashmere Mafia and Dirty Sexy Money).

From what I heard, she's unlikeable to both sexes most of the time LOL I think she's got a funny act, but especially after how she threw her husband under the bus after he was only trying to cater to her whims, if I were a man, I wouldn't go anywhere near her. Besides, the so-called fling with Woz was a sham for the TV show...
ReplyDeleteThe blind implies that the c-list actress's steady-paycheck gig is past tense. This would rule out Evangeline Lilly, who is still very much employed by Lost, and thus has not had a checkered "hit or miss" career since.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson, though as much as I can picture Mischa saying something so crass, I think it's interesting if Rachel is actually the b!tch f'er, considering her current role as beard for HC.
I would go for Queen Latifah and Kim Coles. The "bitches" comment would seem right coming from a (former?) rapper.

Maggie Grace and Michelle Rodriguez. Sounds like a lot of not-so-blinds about how Michelle acted while on the set of Lost.

And I think Kathy Griffin is a late-in-life lesbian. She probably used to be totally straight, but I've been getting a lez vibe from her lately.
I was thinking Keri Russel and "Felicity" for the C-list actress, but I don't know who the other actress would be.

ReplyDeleteMy guess would be Lucy Liu/Portia de Rossi. Portia's orientation was definitely not as well-known as it is now, and I remember Portia saying not too long ago in an interview that the Lucy Liu/Calista Flockhart kiss or whatever offended her. So I could imagine her asking them if they knew that about her...

I don't think Portia was fully closeted at that time, but I think she said in that same interview that it wasn't common knowledge on the set of the show when she first started, and I don't think it was reported in the media right away either. Just my slim recollection, as I didn't pay a lot of attention to her or Ally McBeal.
