Shia LaBeouf Just Gets Freakier - Watched Parents Having Sex

So, for those of you who thought Shia LaBeouf was just being innocent and a sweet kid when he called his mom the sexiest woman he knows, you might want to rethink that whole thing. In an interview with Parade, Shia says that the source of his humor and who he is was defined by "seeing my parents have sex, smoke weed, my mom being naked ... [and] twisted R-rated humor."

OK. Yeah. It is one thing to maybe catch a glimpse of your mom naked when you are like 2. From what Shia described in his earlier interview with Playboy, his mom still walks around naked in front of him. The fact that he remembers seeing his parents having sex sex is something no kid ever wants to see, but he doesn't just say it happened once. I get the feeling this was kind of like a regular thing for him to see. That just isn't right.

He also admits to being so insecure that when he is riding his bike on the side of the road he will sometimes stop until someone recognizes him. Oh, and he also says he is an alcoholic and has no idea why. I will say this about Shia. He doesn't mess around with giving some kind of bland answers. The guy tells you what is on his mind whether you like it or not. I am also kind of surprised that the very vanilla Parade Magazine is going to publish the interview.

  1. Boy needs to have his mouth sewn shut. Although, apparently he's been doing Megan Fox, so maybe he caught the verbal diarrhea from her.

  5. You gotta wonder what information he offered that Parade passed on for their article.

  6. MM, when they took the bone out of his thigh to rebuild his finger, he should have had them do the same for his Little Shia.

  7. He used to make me feel like a dirty old cougar but I have since lost interest in Shia. Megan Fox can have him. They can sit around and be special together.

  8. Looks like he unknowingly explains the root of his self-destructive behavior. Now perhaps he can be convinced to get the therapy he needs.

Step one: get the hell away from his mother.

  9. He's a total asshole. He does say what is on his mind and that can be good, but he blew up during an interview with a friend and it was just bad for everyone.

  10. Enty - didn't you post a picture of Shia and his mom a few weeks ago? And wasn't she a little, um, gypsy-like? (Not that there's anything wrong with that.) She's just not the 'type' you would picture when you read that a young man watches his parents 'do it'.

I need to go shower now.

  11. gosh. i can't imagine why he's an alcoholic.

  12. That's terrible. I don't even know what to say. Normal, I think not!

  13. he's certainly letting his freak flag fly

  14. As far as I'm concerned, no one has parents that are the type that are ok to watch 'do it'. I'm still emotionally scarred from my ONE experience. *shudders*

  15. I'm shocked that Parade would print that.

I don't know whether to feel sorry for the poor kid or tell him to shut the hell up.

  16. maybe he borrowed some of jessica albas people and was "ill-adviced"

  17. I can't believe he would talk about this, let alone on an interview.
At least he didn't turn out to be a woman -hating mass murderer.

  18. That boy needs massive amounts of therapy!

That being said, wouldn't you all vote for his mother to be "mother of the year?" After all, if Dina Lohan can win it, why can't she??

  19. Seeing his parents have sex, smoke weed, seeing his mother naked? CPS anyone?

You're right, Nancer, no wonder he's an alcoholic. But no wonder he's a celebrity, too! What better profession to have the abnormal and narcissistic seem normal? Hello, Beyonce? Jessica Alba? Bret michaels, Ray J, Usher? This whole day is full of celebrities out of control. LOVE IT.

  20. I'm still messed up from when my sister told me she heard our parents doing it, when we were teenagers. Until then, I was happy believing they got me by sending in boxtops or mallo cup coins.

But judging from that picture of Shia's mom a couple weeks back, maybe his idea of her "naked" is her wearing less than 10 layers of clothing.

  21. And after he's gotten enough publicity for this he'll say that everything was just a terrible misunderstanding and he never expected these comments to be taken seriously, just an example of his "twisted R-rated humor" *eyeroll*

  22. @cobracommander: you've got to be more detailed than that

  23. @lutefisk

You are making an assumption, he still has time. I bet his 30s will be fun.

Then again he has a probable lifetime gross earnings higher than mine, ...where's my mom at?

  24. you are correct Robert. He is still young.

  25. k, i don't think it's that big of a deal. in other countries, parents and kids sleep in the same room, hell, the same bed, and no one blinks en eye that the kid might see a sibling being made. it's not like they were having sexy times with him. that's gross.

but that's not what's going on here. here you have some very bohemian people and their kid who people are paying attention to. i know people like this, and they're not totally fucked up. they just had a different upbringing than me.

and as to the whole parental sex = barf thing... i am glad my folks can and do still enjoy sex later in life. i don't want to see it, mind you, but if they can do it, then it means i'll still be knocking boots at that age and on. i certainly don't want to be celibate when i'm an old lady, and i don't get grossed out that my mom is not.

  26. no Moosh, he has what is called in some circles A Movie Coming Out This Summer.

i love this fucking guy. he's honest and he doens't try to sugarcoat some generic bullshit from his childhood.

  27. I agree what's the big deal? who's to say it's "wrong" just cause YOU weren't brought up the same way? Live and let live I say!

As far as Shia, I didn't know anything about him other than his accident, so he's really an asshole hu? I really could care less one way or another. :/

  28. My mother did the same thing - walked around naked, that is. My Dad did the one time I spent part of the summer with him. He was used to living alone and is rather bohemian in his ways, but that one time he asked if it made me feel uncomfortable. When I said yes, he put some sweats on.

Not to knock the naked philosophy, but it would have been nice for the parents to ask if he felt uncomfortable with it. The sex part is just wrong. Maybe he wrote in that post secret about how seeing porn when he was 8 fucked him up.

  29. oh hell, MM and Mooshki, you have effectively cured me. thanks :)

  30. I was going to just say. "Who cares what he says. He is still hot." but MM just fixed that. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I still find him hot, albeit completely messed up. Hey, it's not like I'm ever gonna meet the guy.

  32. The line between celebrity and insanity is very thin isn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think his candor is refreshing. Everyone has a dark side, he's just verbalizing it. I'll take his honesty, quirks & contraversy & all, over bullshit bland a la Brad Pitt & other celebs, anyday.

I'm still rooting for Louis Stevens

  34. Hasn't he gone on record prior to this sayin his childhood was very effed up and he had screwed up parents? Or am I remembering that wrong? I always thought he talked about trying to be an adult and breadwinner for his folks, so the fact that he seems to be embracing it (somewhat) now is odd.

    ReplyDelete
  35. He's putting it all out there and lots of people are reading it. I guess for him that counts as a kind of therapy? Who knows, maybe it will help...

    ReplyDelete
  36. If celebrities pick up this trend of 'letting it all hang out"...celebrity blog sites are out of business.

  37. I don't believe anything that he is saying. He wants press and attention and he's getting it. And no, I've never thought him to be attractive or talented. Look, his name was falling off the radar. He's made outrageous comments to be back in the spotlight and it's worked.
