Another Reason Kate Is Smarter - She Buys & Jon Rents

I am not sure what the rule of thumb is when you are finding a place to have sex with your boyfriend or girlfriend while you are already married. I am sure there are some schools of thought out there that a hotel is always best. It can be a convenient place for sure and there is help with the cleaning up after, but it can also feel cheap and tawdry much like an afternoon with Paris.

Jon Gosselin decided that the best way for him to have sex with all the people who have debased themselves enough to have sex with a man who has supped with Michael Lohan is by spending $5000 a month for a Manhattan condo. Sure, it is pricey, but if you think about the fact a hotel in Manhattan could run you $400 a night he only needs to have sex for 12 nights to break even. Not including tips to the hotel workers and his date for the evening.

Kate Gosselin on the other hand decided that she was going to buy her love nest. Besides being just a block from the office of her bodyguard which makes nooners much easier, I think it will also be a place where he can retreat to after his wife leaves him. As a bonus for Kate since she will own the place she can make her bodyguard feel like he is worthless and kick him out when he no longer pleases her.

This is why I just prefer Cinemax.

  1. And its a good time to buy, too, no? Smart girl.

  2. Yeah I never understood why he would spend that amount of money on a rental, that could easily be a mortgage to a nice spot here in the city. Obviously he is not the bright one in the relationship

  3. he probably didn't get his allowance in time so he had to rent.

  4. i agree it's a great time to buy...but i don't get it. is this her getaway place, like to go get laid or something bc she can't do it in the house where her kids are at? are the kids ever allowed into her or john's condos?

    these people are so weird.

  5. It bugs me that both of them would have their private homes so far away from the kids. That is just stupid, IMO. I know they are 'off-duty' when they are the non-custodial parents, but emergencies happen--especially with so many kids--and it's fucking irresponsible to be that far away from their kids. I guess they can just go to Pennsylvania in their private jets, though.

    Where's the icon for vomiting.

I don't understand why the bodyguard would have his family living in Baltimore when his job is in PA.

I really hope that Jon isn't getting laid 12x a month. He's kind of disgusting.

I'm sure that having an apartment in Manhattan makes him a lot more fuckable in some peoples' eyes.

  8. The money Jon will need to spend on hookers to make the rental worth the money would make a nice down payment on a place. He needs to buy. It's the only fiscally responsible option.

Kate needs to buy a tour bus and teach those babies to sing. If Jon is hanging with one Lohan, it's only a matter of time before Kate hooks up with Dina.

  9. Apples and oranges.

First, Rockville is MUCH MUCH MUCH cheaper to buy in than NYC.

Second, most of the desirable NYC properties are co-ops, which means there's an endless approval process to deal with. And somehow I don't think any toney Upper East or Upper West co-op board is going to approve Jon's application. Call me crazy.

Third, the NYC real estate market doesn't stand to be on an upswing anytime soon -- and it hasn't really crashed that far either, given the economy. Buying in NYC isn't a no-brainer right now by a long shot. Buying in Rockville is a much safer bet with your money.

  10. It is indeed strange that both have homes in other states that obviously cannot accommodate 8 kids. It's as if they're walking away from the kids half of the time to live their own lives that have nothing to do with them.

It's wierd to divide life in such a way that has nothing to do with the children in your life.

They say they'll be there for the kids but apparently not so. If that were true they would continue to co-parent.

  11. Maybe, the kids will get the house in the split and the custodial parent will stay there with them. When they don't have the kids, they need another place to stay. Easier than shuttling the kids around for visitation?

  12. Yeah, but isn't it easier to live in the same town, or state, at least?

  13. Enty,an afternoon with Paris can leave you feeling more then cheap and tawdry. If you're going to play with that you better double glove.

  14. I can't believe these people. Leaving the kids in PA and buying spearate places in different states? Places that aren't big enough to acoomodate 8 kids? This makes me angry. WTF is wrong with these people?

  15. As parents, why didn't they buy a summer house, a cabin, a freakin villa at Disney? Something that would be more in line w/having 8 children!

I do believe I predicted this BS a long time ago!

  16. Rockville Maryland? Why would anyone choose to live there unless it's for work? I mean, it's not a *bad* place, but it's not anyone's dream home either.

John looks like he'd have a small weenie amd erectile dysfunction.

  17. Is it me or is it really strage that they both are in places waaay too small for their brood? And what are you both going to do when the money runs out?? Because IT WILL. Those children are going to get old enough to start saying things like, "Do the cameras always have to be here?" and, more importantly, "WHERE'S MY MONEY???" Jon's a complete idiot but Kate masterminded this horror show years ago, and I can only say this: God's watching, Kate. And I don't think he's too happy.

  18. well, she did say that the house was for the kids and that which ever parent's turn it was would stay in the house so it would be less disruptive to the kids. makes more sense to me this way than to shuttle the kids back and forth

  19. I think I could see it more easily if they had a small apartment near the town in Pennsylvania where their estate is. Rockville has to be at least 3 hours away, and I would think NYC is too.

So it's obvious that the only reason they have for keeping the kids is for the money they generate? What's going to happen when the money runs out? Will they give them away so that these two supremely self-serving people can live their lives without the complications of kids?

  20. this makes no sense. when normal people divorce, one parent tends to stay in the family home, or move to another home with the children. since there are so many children and the home was designed for them, dummy jon should have gotten a place large enough for them all to stay with him. because you KNOW kate ain't movin' out!
what happens if one of them remarries? the spouse won't stay in the house (heh. suess-ism)?
these people have me pulling my hair out.
