#1 - Some good news for this formerly B+ movie actress and now a C. It appears she is off the drugs and even her husband appears clean. The bad news is he can't get a job and so has been hired by the producers as her personal makeup artist for the movie she is filming right now. I can't believe she got another movie.
#4 - Kindness - This A list actress who used to be the highest paid actress in Hollywood donated her entire paycheck from a recent movie to four different charities. It was the largest donation any of the four charities had ever received.

I love Sandra Bullock. She has always seemed down to earth and like a genuinely good person.

ReplyDeleteHere's something I've never been able to understand about her, though. Her husband...I know he's supposed to be a good guy and all, which is the biggest thing. BUT. His ex-wife was a porn star.
...I don't care how good a guy someone was, if he'd actually been married to a porn star, I just can't see marrying him after. Or maybe I'm just a prude.
I'm happy for both reveals. It's a big deal getting off the drugs.

I love Sandy & Jesse together.
i didn't think she was A list. but this is a nice story and i said before, i met her and she's a doll. she and a friend who had a new baby came into a shop where a friend of mine works and she was lovely to everyone in there. very normal and down to earth.

Sandra Bullock is by FAR one of the kindest, most generous celebrities in the world. Sandra and Johnny Depp really raise the bar as human beings, not just celebrities. I was considering seeing both The Proposal and Public Enemies. I'm seeing Public Enemies tomorrow and the Proposal next weekend.

Enty, I am SO GLAD you revealed this about Sandra Bullock! Donald Trump/Celebrity Apprentice seemed to really give Jesse James a lot of crap for not "using" Sandra for money for charities. This proves she does her own thing, not because she doesn't care.

ReplyDeleteChasing - GOOD POINT - so there, Trump, Take that! I love Sandy. I like Brit's movies, but really, you could tell she was skanky, and her best roles weren't really much of a stretch (Spun, The Dead Girl).

ReplyDeleteI actually met Sandra Bullock once in the ladies' room in the Atlanta airport. Seems her flight had just landed, and some of the other women in the restroom who had been on her flight were telling her what an awesome thing she had done. I didn't wanna pry, so I waited 'til she left and asked one of the women what was it she'd done that was so awesome?
ReplyDeleteShe and her hubby had both voluntarily asked to give up their first class seats for two servicemen in uniform who were going home. Yep - Sandy and Jesse rode coach all the way from NY to ATL and the soldiers sat in first.
That? Was NINE kinds of awesome.

ReplyDeleteI love Sandra Bullock, but I totally agree with Figgy. Why on Earth would anyone want a guy who was with a porn star? Jesse James is no prize as it is, but the whole porn star thing would be a total dealbreaker for me. It's just gross. Not that I care what life choices people make, or anything, but I know I could never be with a dude that had been with a woman that spread it for anyone and everyone, for pay, on video. GROSS.
ReplyDeleteI also read that Sandra is taking care of the porn star's kid while the porn star (let's just call her "whore" since that's really what she is) is in jail. She's definitely a better person than I could ever be, that's for damn sure. I know i would never EVER be with someone with a kid (my major dealbreaker in relationships), let alone the probably already deeply psychologically disturbed child of a porn star and...whatever the hell Jesse James is supposed to be. She should be nominated for sainthood, and i hope that nasty, nasty Jesse James knows how LUCKY he is to have her. But I'm biased because she's from Arlington :)

God bless Sandra Bullock, all the way. Also, I remember a rumor about her taking Benjamin Bratt's side when he broke it off with Julia Roberts. Not, if Julia's notorious behavior when it comes to treating wait staff at restaurants and with other members of the service industry is true, and if Benjamin's beaming smiles since he hooked up with Talisa Soto are authentic, I can see why the genuinely good Sandra would want to see Benjamin with someone who'd be more his speed, instead of someone who would bite your head off if you crossed her wrong.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I hated that pretty much every critic hated The Lake House because they thought it was too confusing to follow. I didn't think it was confusing to follow at all, and feel that it just required a little bit of paying attention to the plot and associated timeline in order to make sense of what was going on. I seriously think that movie critics don't know how to think and that's why they savaged what was actually a really good movie. I wish Hollywood would come up with more intelligent fare like that and not listen to the brain-dead who want to be hit over the head with obvious plot points.
