Blind Items Revealed

April 22, 2009

This B list television and movie actor is more famous for his current television role, than any movie in which he has appeared. Filming of his show is delayed by hours everyday, because our actor refuses or is unwilling to learn his lines each day and therefore necessitates take after take after take for him to finish his scenes.

Jeremy Piven

  1. You can't have a good blind items revelation if you don't have Jeremy Piven as a jack ass at one point or another...

  2. Right you are, Angela.

  3. Seriously, why put up with it? It's not like there aren't a billion actors who can play that stupid role. And it's not like people tune in just for him!

  4. Haha Angela, it is so true...

  5. an extra from Entourage was on Howard Stern talking about how Jeremy Piven asked if she would help him run lines in his trailer.

She said he was creepy and clearly was just looking to get laid. She claims she declined, but I think she blew his mercury riddled peen.

  6. I tune in just for him.
    Him and TURTLE. (love Turtle)

  8. Also, let me add, this is the most fun Fourth of July ever. I had no idea Enty did this. God Bless Enty!!!

  9. Ok and Drama too.
But I just want to know what Drama will say next.

  10. Ok IW
you're right. This could be done without him.
But, the best and worst part is that the Jeremy IS Ari. There is very little acting involved.

  14. Happy reveal day, everyone... and let the refreshing begin!

  15. I think he is a jackass but I don't agree that anyone could play that role. He IS Ari Gold!!! (I AM Queens Boulevard!!!)

  16. I just love looking back at the guesses, especially when folks are adamant about how it could not be the person it turns out to be.

There ought to be a scoreboard to see who has the best and worst track records for guessing.

  17. thank God, the laurence fishburne guess, OR RATHER COWBOY CURTIS guess, was dead wrong. whew!

  18. He is very unprofessional! I don't know why they can't hire someone who actually appreciates the job!

  19. @apple,
welcome to the cult of enty! he actually does this twice a year, and we love him for it!

  20. Does Enty announce when it is over, cause I'll be refreshing like a mofo until 12am ....

  21. @bunny LOL i'm a card carrying cult member now :)

  22. @Apple

It looks like he has all the reveals pre-entered and then staggered to post exactly every fifteen minutes (just as he had promised last night).

He said he had 30-40 which means a minimum of 7.5 hours of reveals.

  23. I think the reveals end with a post of reader photos.

That has to be why he couldn't hack it on Broadway...he's too lazy and it actually requires work. No one in NY is going to give him his usual free pass.
I have never seen 'Entourage,' but I thought he was so great in 'Old School,' as the jerk.
I guess playing the jerk is laziness too, if you're a jerk.

  24. why isn't he fired? because he makes the show with his "ira emanuel"!
i thought he was Alec Balwin!

  25. As a Brit, this incredibly-happy-to-be-rid-of-those-unruly-zealots day is turning into a most interesting day with these reveals (even though I'm not too up on some of the names)

    Thanks Ent!

  26. It...it was....MERCURY poisoning!

  27. What gets me is all THE AWARDS he has won playing that role, while deserving actors go home empty handed.
    No Piven-love here. I can't stand that arrogant jock/frat boy/date-rapist swagger.
    (end of yet another rant)

  28. LLOYD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  29. LOL fabulous... the piv is creepster central.

  30. Not surprising, can't really stand the guy. Ditto to what PollyPureBred said.

  31. Aughtta get rid of him. Grenier's character could very well change agencies. Happens everyday here, and a LOT recently with all the agency shakeups.

  32. @Libby: You nailed it, he wouldn't or couldn't memorize a Mamet play if his life depended on it. That's why he will lose the lawsuit if they can prove he doesn't memorize his scripts for the show. Interesting, that Piven can't do one of the major requirements as an actor you have to be able to do and yet he gets work. He is Ari Gold no doubt about that.

I can't for the life of me figure out who would actually do Piven. Gag.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I thought the ONE thing Piven had going for him in spite of all his idiocy was that he was a well-trained actor. Y'know, the kind that can remember lines and everything.

His family has an acting school and small community group here in Evanston, IL. so, it's surprising.

  34. Hate the Piv, love his Entourage character.

  35. I am amazed .. not.
