Last week, I told you about the actress who was bulimic. Well, guess what. It turns out that bulimia is not limited to actresses. How can I describe this person without giving it all away? The problem is that he does everything in the business. Singer. Actor. Even more actually. While not A list at any of them, he definitely has B+/A- name recognition. You might not put the face with the name, but when you hear the name, you will have heard of him. That is a really long description, but a blind item like this deserves a nice build up.
This weekend our actor was at Katsuya. He goes there frequently, although this was only the second time our spy saw him. Our actor ordered 2 orders of the rock shrimp tempura. Here is where it gets interesting, and a little wasteful if you ask me. Our actor chews the shrimp, but never actually swallows them. Instead he chews them, and then spits them out into a cup. He is a nice guy though. The first time he did this there, he went to the back of the place and washed his own cup. Anyway, this time while he was there performing his ritual, he accidentally swallowed some of the shrimp, and immediately ran for the bathroom where he stayed for the next 20 minutes. He then returned to his seat and started chewing and spitting again.

ReplyDeleteewwwww. I saw some chick on Intervention who did this. She hadn't swallowed anything in like 15 yrs and had to have a stoma put in her stomach to have liquid nutrients put into her everyday to keep her alive.

That's just so sad. Never in a million years would I have guessed Tyrese; he has always looked so healthy, toned and with a rockin' hard body. Shame.

I just saw him on Chelsea Lately the other day and thought he looked terrible, clearly this is why.
ReplyDeleteHe must have seen that episode of Sex and the City in which Cynthia Nixon's character had a tv writer-friend called "Letterman Lou" who'd relocated to L.A. and lost a ton of weight. While visiting with him, she learned that he maintained his new look by chewing his food and then spitting it into a napkin. Ewww.

I think everyone thought this was Jared Leto because there were pictures of him coming out from this restaurant when the blind was posted.

ReplyDeleteI can't fucking believe people are grossed out about this. THAT'S NOT THE FUCKING POINT! If the man had a horrible skin disorder that was killing him, or his kidneys were failing, would everyone be going "Eeeeeeuw!"? The point is he's SICK. Show some mercy, friends. Be upset that he has a horrible mental illness, not in the way in which it manifests itself. (Don't forget that at least one of us here has this thing; my heart goes out to her.) I hope like crazy he gets himself some help before we're reading the headline "Tyrese has died."

This one shocked me. How does he maintain a muscular build if he is doing this? Is it possible he only does this before photo shoots and the like? There's no way it's a daily regimen.
ReplyDeleteI can understand the pressure to stay slim for female fans. And if he is spending time in the modeling world still, there is pressure to be uber-thing. Male models in recent years have become skeletons.
The real sadness is that his body has to consume protein to stay alive so his body is in reality eating it's own muscles, including his heart. Very sad, because the damage can't be undone. At some point soon he won't be able to get work.
