Ryan O'Neal Gets Nothing In Farrah's Will

Shortly after learning she had cancer, Farrah Fawcett wrote a will leaving everything to her son Redmond and also some to her alma mater, but absolutely nothing to Ryan O'Neal. I was kind of surprised that Farrah only had about $5M in her estate. I know she hasn't worked that much over the past few years and obviously spent a lot on her medical treatments but I expected it to be higher. It is kind of awful that someone like Paris is probably worth two to three times what Farrah was worth not even counting the hotel money.

According to the Daily Mail, Farrah has put her money into a Trust which will be doled out very sparingly to Redmond. He will get a monthly allowance and the Trustees will buy him a house, but he isn't getting it all at once for a drug fueled weekend. Instead he will just have to wait each month for his allowance, or if Ryan is willing to pay.

Ryan says he wants to help Redmond. "I loved her so very, very much. Redmond is in the fight of his life but is doing well. I will do everything that is in my power to honor her memory and to protect our son."

Yeah, well I guess that means the father son meth parties will have to be curtailed, unless of course he sends them into overdrive. If Redmond were to die without a will than Ryan O'Neal would get all Redmond's money. Just saying.

  2. What's the max for monthly contributions to the commissary, $50/month or something? That $5,000,000 will last forever if Redmond can't get sober.

  3. I'm glad that she did apparently know Ryan and who he was, but it's also very sad.

I mean, at the end of your life, she should have had more protection from Ryan and more people in between them.

I hope Ryan is surprised and pissed off about this development. I hope he never gets his son's money.

  4. Well, now we know why he wanted to marry her - grounds for contesting the will. :(

  5. does that scumbag not have his own money?

  6. Jax - it probably all went up his nose. Now he wants to steal from his son. He is lower than low.

  7. This is news that makes me happy - sad, but good for all involved.

  8. since enty keeps talking about father/son drug parties, they must really have done this. i hope ryan is not that coldhearted to enable his son's drug use in hopes for an overdose. sad.

greedy people can never get enough of money.

  9. The idea that Ryan want to "protect our son" gives me the heebie jeebies. He really does scare me. I find it sad and wrong that frequently talented people are emotionally retarted and socially psycotic. *sigh*

Thank God for Tom Hanks. ;)

  10. I'm guessing Ryan suspected all along he wouldn't get a dime and that's why he's been so front and center promoting the documentary and trying to get so much face time. He has nothing left and this is his last chance to make a buck. So incredibly sad.

  11. Ms. Fawcett I stand and applaud you my dear. You were brilliant. You knew what needed to be done, who to leave out and how to set it up.
It makes my fucking day that at the end F.F. had figured out exactly the type of person Ryan is. And now he knows it too.
    Good for her.

    i'm so very glad.

    bastard.

  13. I am soooooo glad she didn't leave anything to Ryan! Haha asshole. I bet Tatum is laughing her ass off.

One good thing though is that he referred to Redmond as "our son", I've seen him interviewed about Farrah where he referred to Red as "her son."

  14. "I will do everything in my power to honor her memory and protect our son."

Translation: If Redmond is the only getting the bucks, I need to treat Redmond right.........Hey! Good buddy Redmond! Howya doin'? It's Daddy-o. How's about you and me go get some 8 balls and have a party tonight?

  15. Well done, Farrah. Well done.

  16. You know, this made me so excited! Shame, really. I thought it seemed like a big publicity stunt when he was going to marry her on her deathbed, and I agree with Mooshki - grounds for contesting the will if they had gotten married at the end. Good for Farrah.

  17. This makes me believe that Ryan blew through a lot of her money while they were together years ago. She finally dumped him, but came back when he got sick with leukemia and by then learned to keep her purse strings closed.

  18. WOW!

    Wel played Farrah.

Remember gang, Ryan punched Tatum when she won the oscar and he didn't..

Hopefully Redmond can get is act together and become smart enough not to let Daddy Dearest mooch off if him.

  19. Looks like Farrah knew the real deal. I'm not surprised that's all she had... Her heyday was long ago and she hasn't had any wild successes in what, 30 years? I also wonder how much her investments lost in the last couple of years, and how much her medical bills came to - I'd say those bills alone ate up $1 million, easily.

  20. Hooray. That is all. :)

  21. Better to give all the money to charity. Redmond has had a problem with addiction since he was 14. With a permanent roof over his head and a monthly allowance, how is he ever going to have the incentive to get off his ass and do something with his life?

  22. ...but also scary that none of us puts it past dickhead RO to "take care" of Redmond.

    *shudders at the thought*

Redmond says "Yo pops, this crank tastes weir.....ughhh" then dies on the spot.

  23. Thank goodness. Let's hope Ryan isn't a Trustee.

  24. isn't it just so unfair that farrah is the one without life and someone like ryan is still wasting space with his continued existence?

  25. so she left if to her kid. well, i would, too. even if my kid was an idiot, he's my son. that's why i work and make money. for him. and if i should die, and he's a total moron, i'm still gonna leave him everything. but i'm going to make sure he has only enough to keep him supported, and not stoned or tweaked. she did the right thing.

so she really did know ryan wasn't trustworthy. but she still needed that love and comfort from him in the end. that's kinda sad. it's like she settled in order not to die alone.

well, rest her soul. she was beautiful, wise, and apparently incredibly empathetic and somewhat lonely. i don't care if ryan makes a shit load from that doc, i'm glad it was made and i could see what kind of person she was. it honored her in a way fitting to an icon.

  26. I imagine Farrah had to spend a lot on that treatment she got in Germany.

  27. I would LOVE to have been a fly on the wall when the will was read. Can you imagine Ryan's face?

    just icky.

  29. It is possible that the will is not Farrah's only form of estate planning. She may have given gifts directly to close friends and other relatives (her father is still alive) during her life, or set up separate trusts for some of them.

  30. Why all the maudlin love for Farrah?
    RIP yes.
But she was Redmond's parent too.
She contributed 50% of his f$#@!d up
    growing up, people.

  31. HA! You lose, Ryan!

  32. Sadly shibajonz makes a very good, if somewhat harsh point. Farrah did contribute to his upbringing. I personally would like to think that she was the reason he ever did enter rehab, but still. It would appear she did accept some responsibility by leaving him her estate but making sure it was not given in a lump sum. I would only trust Ryan if he did a long stint in rehab, found some sort of spiritual foundation and Tatum herself started actually refering to him as a changed man......actually, I probably still wouldn't trust him. *sigh*

RYAN O'NEAL A FATHER? SINCE WHEN? HE NEVER HAS BEEN, TO EITHER TATUM OR GRIFFITH AND NOW REDMOND. FARRAH WAS A SMART WOMEN TO NEVER MARRY THAT NARCISSISTIC, SELF-SERVING, EGOTISTICAL LOSER. IT'S TOO BAD HE ISN'T THE ONE WHO DIED, IT WOULD BE NO LOSS TO ANYONE OR THE WORLD.WHAT A SOB!!!!!!!!!!1

  34. There are many sides to a story. I sure don't find Ryan to be as everyone seems to think he is. He is a man who wasn't perfect but how many of you are? Everyone has a story. I hope he and his children can somehow find peace with one another.
