This B-/C+ movie actor is married to a B-/B+ television actress. Over the past few months there have been some rumors swirling that their marriage is in trouble. The husband even had to spend several nights away from the family home when his wife kicked him out because she thought he was cheating. This has been a huge shock because everyone has thought they would stay together forever. Not just the public, but their friends and family as well.
Well it turns out that the husband wasn't cheating at all and that the couple were being played by a D list movie actress (you will never guess her) who is in the husband's latest movie and a few of her pap friends. The D list actress wanted some publicity and started telling everyone she could think of that she was sleeping with the husband when she wasn't. Then the paps got into the act by spreading the rumor and it got back to the wife who told the husband to not come home for a few days because even she believed it.
At some point the wife called one of her close friends who is frequently stalked by paps. A few questions were asked and the next thing you know the wife discovers none of it was true and she and the husband make up. The problem is the rumors will not go away and are spreading and multiplying. The only good news is that the D lister has not got the publicity she has wanted.

Bacon's been Oscar-nominated (actually Macy & Huffman might be ruled out for that reason, too?) and Kyra is lead (Emmy-nom) on a very popular TV show. Not them.

ReplyDeleteJessieE, Enty has different rating systems for tv vs. movie actors. So Felicity gets a B because she's a lead on a show, while Bill is almost always a supporting character in movies. If they were just being rated by overall fame, they'd probably be the same, or he'd be a tad higher?

i see no way it's macy. he was nominated for an oscar and has an impeccable reputation as an actor. he starred in 'fargo' which was oscar nominated. he's MUCH better than B-/C+.

Then she was spotted in France tooling around on the back Oliver Martinez's motorcycle. Then she went back to Adrien. (And he took her?!!) If this is true about TJ, she's a lot more pathetic than I realized. But she hasn't been getting parts since dating Brody, so maybe now she's desperate and playing by the Paris Hilton/Lohan handbook.

ReplyDeleteI'm with the Kevin Bacon voters. The only argument against him seems to be the B/C rating. I'm a great admirer of his acting ability but realistically I have to go back six years, to Mystic River, before I see anything recognizable on his credits. He appears to have settled into a pattern of support in A pictures and leads in B pictures. His name recognition is certainly A (Six Degrees...) but B is a fair description of his current box office clout. I also recall reading that his wife was a friend of SJParker, so that fits as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm dubious of the Cox/Arquette guesses for the simple reason that I don't know anyone who doesn't think they are a high risk coupling. The item implies everyone would be surprised if the couple divorced but frankly I think people would be more surprised if Cox/Arquette didn't divorce.
I will concede that William Macy also fits the description and presumably most of the other Desperate Housewives cast could qualify as pap savvy friends. My only reason for going with Bacon over Macy is sex appeal. If you're a D list actress I presume it it better publicity, and makes you look more desirable, to have seduced the still sexy Bacon rather than the talented but sexless Macy.

I know I don't post often at all (if ever), but I think Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy are more realistic than PJ & KG, because Elizabeth Reaser comes out at me pretty quickly. I know I'm a Greys fan, but she had a pretty big part in Alex's story-line for nearly a season and a half. And the film "Sweet Land" had some critical acclaim, I think. I'd say she's a little more C-list?

Both are level headed, really love each other, seem realistic about making a relationship work, and lasted longer than any of their I Know What You Did Last Summer/90's Wave of Teen Movie peers.
