Today's Blind Items

In two weeks this magazine I love to hate is going to have a cover reuniting the cast of a popular 80's-90's tweener comedy. Well, almost the entire cast. It seems that the bigger stars from the show would only agree to pose for the cover if two of the members of the cast were not involved. The magazine agreed.

#1 - Magazine
#2 - Show
#3 & #4 - The two cast members excluded.

  3. People.
    Saved By The Bell.
    Slater & Kelly.

    ReplyDelete
  4. 1. Kneepads
    2. Saved by the Bell
    3 & 4 Dustin Diamond and ?

  5. #1 - People (aka Kneepads)
#2 - Saved By The Bell
    #3 - Wasn't sure, but I like mooshki, part deux's guess.

  6. Wait. Change #3 & #4 to Kelly Kapowski and Screech, because they were the only two who didn't sign up for the Jimmy Fallon reunion (as per Dlisted http://www.dlisted.com/node/32430)

    ReplyDelete
  7. Full House. The Olsen Twins?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Now why would Zack and Slater hate on Kelly like that? I can understand Screech, but Kelly Kapowski? That's a little harsh.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Full House. Without the Olsen Twins.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Sad sad sad, once again Screech is coming up short. :)

    ReplyDelete
  11. full house, people, twins

    ReplyDelete
  12. Better yet, who is Mooshki part deux??? *L*

    ReplyDelete
  13. Why would they leave out the Oslen twins? They had the biggest careers after the show, albeit they're not as popular now as they were 5 years ago.

Agreed with Harriet Hellfire. Who's this Mooshki clone?

    ReplyDelete
  14. *Gasp* at Mooshki part Deux.

IT's gotta be Kneepads. Not sure about anything else.

    ReplyDelete
  15. agreed. let's answer the more important question, first!

    ReplyDelete
  16. It's obviously someone with a deep, abiding love for me. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I think they'd be more likely to leave out, say, Candice Cameron and Jodi Sweetin. I know Bob Saget really likes the twins still. He always speaks highly of them.

    ReplyDelete
  17. If it's SBTB (and I agree that it is): What about leaving out the principal-dude? I think he was the principal--I didn't watch the show.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Agree, Kneepads, SBTB, Screech & Kelly.

As for Mooshki, Part Duex, it seems our lovely Mooshki has either a stalkerish admirer or an admiring stalker! Oh, to be so lucky. ;) However, just like Coca Cola, nothing beats the real thing! Team Mooshki Part Un!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Anonymous1:21 PM

Oui, oui, vive le part un! : )

    ReplyDelete
  20. Mooshki, are you cloning yourself???
    Saved by the Bell
1 has to be Screech, The other I think, Kelli.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Another reason it's not Full House: it wasn't for 'tweeners,' it was for 'family-viewing.'

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ooh, SkittleKitty, I totally forgot about Mr. Belding! Amend to Screech (Grody to the max!) and Mr. Belding (He's on TMZ all the time and he seems to be a total perv or else a very lovely man who likes 20 year old women and signing autographs for $5!)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Mooshki, how flattering :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. @AnnMarie: Je suis desole que mon francais est rouille. Les grands esprits pensent de meme.

  26. Merci beaucoup, mes amis!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Wasn't Mark Paul Gosselar on Jimmy Fallon's show a few weeks ago talking about a reunion? I think the only 2 who hadn't said yes yet were Tiffani Theissen and Dustin Diamond.

    I would say People (obviously)
If it's SBTB, I think the bigger stars *were* Tiffani and Mark Paul, though Mario Lopez is the only one regularly visible. I would say the two excluded would be Elizabeth Berkley and Dustin Diamond.

If it's Full House, I would guess the biggest stars as being the Olsen twins, but when the show was airing, it would have been John Stamos and Bob Saget. I can't imagine them wanting to exclude the twins, they've always talked nicely about them.

    I'm not sure!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I agree with Dustin Diamond but Elizabeth Berkley basically was that show. And she has been rehabilitating herself professionally with CSI Miami and the L word. I don't think they could do the cover without her. I'm going to guess Lark Voorhees.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Due to intense pressure on the site, I'm officially changing my screen name to cdanluva.

    Adieu mooshki, part deux!!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Dude, Zack Morris was the star of that show and will forever be the star of my heart. Nowadays, I think he and Slater (Blegh. Never trust a cute man with dimples!) are considered to be the bigger stars from that cast.

    ReplyDelete
  31. It's Us Weekly, Saved by the Bell, and Dustin Diamond and whichever guy played the principal.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh no, Mooshki! I didn't want your clone to change their name!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I am Spartacus!

    er, I mean... Mooshki!

    er, I mean... Brian!

er, I mean, please don't crucify me, Mr. Nice Roman Man....

    ReplyDelete
  34. I know, Princess, I want an army of clones!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Mooshki, if I didn't like my name so much, I'd probably become Mooshki 3.0 :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. LOL, Karmen!

Part Deux, I don't mind if you keep the name. :)

I was sitting here waiting for Jeff Goldblum to pop up (pun intended) on FFF, then I remembered today isn't actually Friday. :(

    ReplyDelete
  37. Enty never said it was a show. Only a "comedy." Just sayin'. Were there any movie sequels/trilogies popular among tweens that spanned across the 80s and 90s?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Aw, I hope Jimmy Fallon's agreed to this, after all the work he's put into pulling a SBTB reunion himself!

For what it's worth, when MPG was on Fallon, he was the one to announce that EB would appear, which makes me think they're on at least somewhat good terms. The two have to be Dustin Diamond and...Tori Spelling?

I'm still waiting for a Hey Dude! reunion.

    ReplyDelete

    @the.princess.leia
Ha ha haaaw! (add haughty, over-the-top guttural sound, and you've got my reaction)
And mine is not great, but that was fun! : P

    ReplyDelete
  40. Saved by the Bell - but no Belding and no Screech.

Why did everyone forget about Principal Belding.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I was thinking Belding and Screech also! But maybe they wouldn't include Belding on the cover because he wasn't one of the kids...I don't know why everyone's hating on Kelly!

    ReplyDelete
  42. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Mary, yeah,I'd love to see a Hey Dude! reunion!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I forgot all about tori Spelling.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Zach may have been the "star" of the show but I know lots of adults, including me, who tuned in for Elizabeth Berkley.

    ReplyDelete
  46. hey this is off topic, but all the mooshki stuff reminded me of molly. has anyone heard how she is doing?

    ReplyDelete
  47. molly? no...

I really need to watch an episode of SBTB

    ReplyDelete
  48. 1. OK!

    2. Boy Meets World

    3. The parents? or Matt Lawrence and the one who played the brother Eric

    ReplyDelete
  49. "A Dingo Ate My Mooshki"? *LOL*

    ReplyDelete
  50. I think Belding was the first to sign on to the Fallon reunion. I think Screech and Kelly are the best guesses.

    ReplyDelete
  51. i was going to say boy meets world!
but that was probably family oriented rather than tweener, too.
    lol @ dingo!

so, now mooshki has minions AND clones? NO FAIR! i was going to sign up for minion duty, but now i'm not so sure.
    *sniff*

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hm...I would say, Belding (because rumors of his touchy-feely ways have been rampant for years) and Kelly (she didn't want to do it, but many think it's more like she wasn't wanted). I'd like to think the other one is Dustin though. I know MPG was not thrilled with his shenanigans and didn't step up to help him out at any time.

    ReplyDelete
  53. OK, here are my guesses:

    1: TV Guide
    2: Barney & Friends
3: Barney & Baby Bop don't want BJ and Cousin Riff in the pic!

    Hee hee!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Diamond has to be one of them.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Lol to "Frankly..."

My first thought when I read the Blind was "The Wonder Years." That show bridged the 80/90's divide.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Bravo to the Mooshki clones! And I thought Mooshki 3.0 was clever. Fail.
I'm too scared to check IMDb cause my battery's about to die but I didn't think Boy meets world started til the mid 90s.

    ReplyDelete
  57. And clearly nunaurbiz has the best guess.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I dunno but we are probably going to find out in just a couple of days!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'm going right now to try to sign up for "mooshkilove@gmail.com"

    ReplyDelete
  60. Thanks Karmen! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Why would they request to not have Tiffani Thiessen? It would seem that the cover would include the 'top 4' from the show: Zach, Kelly, Slater & Jessie. Forget about the creepies: Screech & Mr. Belding

    ReplyDelete
  62. Boy meets world was not in the 80s. (it started in 1993) Same with Step by Step, Blossom, California Dreams, Sister, Sister; Fresh Prince, Home Improvement, Sabrina the teenage witch

    Could be:
    Family Matters (1989)
Full House (87) - although this may have been more of a family show? Dunno does it count as Tweener?
    The Wonder Years (88)
    Saved by the Bell (89)
    Growing Pains (85-92)
    The Cosby Show (84-92)

Most people have said SBTB and it was definitely the first one that came to my mind, but then that makes me think it's too obvious. But maybe this is supposed to be obvious.

I'd be more interested if, looking at my list, it was The Cosby Show, or the Wonder Years, or even Growing Pains.

    ReplyDelete
  63. The good thing about this blind is that it will definitely be revealed when the magazine comes out, if not by Enty before that! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  64. The huzza goes to the first post where this user name quote is from.

Hint: 1967, commas are to differentiate from the real Mooshki.

    ReplyDelete
  65. We are The Professionals, and we wage a subversive compaign to bring wit, wisdom, and good cheer to various national and international media. We are occupying this blog. Martial law has been imposed. Habeus corpus has been suspended. Civil rights have been abolished. The brothels are open. You cannot win; you can only submit.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Just thought i'd give you a heads up:
The 'Michael Jackson Raped My Asshole/The Mad Crapper' etc troll has become 'The Professionals' (when i click on the profile of the former, it goes to the latter's profile). I think this is a different troll to Max/Ror, but i can't be sure.

    'mooshki, part deux' = 'cdanluva'
From what i can tell they seem harmless enough (although a bit single white female-esque ;) ), and not anything to do with The Mad Crapper or Ror/Max. I only write this because i did worry about Ror or someone using it to take the piss.

On topic: There is no magazine that Enty proclaims his loathing of quite like Kneepads :)

I hope this doesn't mean Saved By The Bell will be brought back (or modernised a la 90210).

    ReplyDelete
  67. Haha! Second time in a row i should have read the comments before posting...

    ReplyDelete
  68. I really don't think it's SBTB since most of the cast has already agreed to do Jimmy Fallon's reunion.

I think the magazine is definitely Kneepads though.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Seriously? You people care about this kind of unimportant retro-crap? Ok then - have fun with it!

My vote is for Janet Jackson for one of the items. Any of them - doesn't matter which.

    ReplyDelete
  70. You guys are cracking me up!!!

Jill, I'm pretty sure Molly is now posting as "not on my dollar."

    ReplyDelete
  71. Mooshki, Original - Seriously?! Damn, i thought that one was sane lol...

Molly said she had cancer so she couldn't post anymore (under that username at least).
Man, if that was a lie it was a fecking callous move (and an attention/sympathy seeking one at that). Trolling can be forgiven - unless it's to the extreme of Ror/Max, but making a joke of cancer is inexcusable.

    ReplyDelete
  72. stiffkittens, there was a lot of drama going on between her and some of us, and I think things just got out of hand at the end. I appreciate that she has been respectful of Enty and others since then. (At least under that user name, haha. Who knows who is really whom around here? Maybe I am ClassAlpha! Bwahahahaha!)

    ReplyDelete
  73. Mooshki, Maybe you ARE *class*alpha*.

Maybe you are actually all of us. Is that possible?

    *nuff said.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Well, given that you and I always score the same on Facebook quizzes, I think we two are definitely the same person.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I think you may be on to something.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Lol this is why cdan pwns

    ReplyDelete
  77. You fucking morons need to get a life.

    ReplyDelete
  78. The Professionals, i believe this one's for you:
    http://www.cartoonstock.com/newscartoons/cartoonists/mfl/lowres/mfln130l.jpg

And this one's for the rest of us:
    http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f399/myfask/258Troll_spray.jpg

    Wishful thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  79. stiffkitens, are you irish? I only have heard of irish people using the term 'feck' aka fuck before. I was just curious.

on topic: people, sbtb, screech + belding. I have heard Kelly is nice in real life and enty posted that they didnt WANT two of the cast members to be in it. mark paul had a relationship with lisa in real life for a hot second so i dont think he hates her or anything. i think kelly was too principle( i.e. the main girl) for them to write her off the reunion.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Stiff Kittens, you crack me up!

    ReplyDelete
  81. *LOL* @ stiffkittens

I was going to go with:

    *ring, ring*

    - Hello?
    - Oh hi, is this Kettle?
    - Yes, who's this?
    - It's Pot!
    - Oh hey Pot, long time no hear, how are you?
    - Oh, I'm great, I'm just calling to tell you something!
    - What?
    - YOU'RE BLACK.

    *click*

    ReplyDelete
  82. The Professionals:

Shoo. Stop with the multiple names and go the fuck away.

My first guess was Saved By The Bell, which I was thankfully "too old" to watch when it first came out. I was in college.

I hope Mario Lopez isn't on the cover. Never liked the guy. Everything that comes out of his mouth seems ick nast to me.

    ReplyDelete
  83. People, Friends, Manniston and Courtney Cocks.

    ReplyDelete
  84. This is so easy.
    Saved By the Bell
    People
    Dustin Diamond and Elizabeth Berkley.
DD because of that 'tell all' book and EB because she's probably caused a lotta damage to the 'wholesome' aspect to the show?
They are being reunited BECAUSE of Jimmy Fallon not FOR Jimmy Fallon.
I spent a lot of summer days watching reruns with my sister. So I do think its pretty cool.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Well, it could be SBTB, and the 2 cast members could be Tori Spelling ( she played Violet, Screech's girlfriend), or the girl who played Tori (the "tough" biker girl who came on to replace Kelly and Jessie). The "Tori year" always made me think it was a fifth year of high school for them, it didn't make any sense, everyone looked older than they did when they graduated from Bayside.

Or maybe it'll just be no Dustin and no girl who played Tori. She WAS part of the cast... although that Ed Alonzo magician was in the opening credits too... He played Max, the owner of... The Max.

Gosh, I know too much about that show! :)

    ReplyDelete
  86. Even though we all know who it is now (revealed in the blinds 7/4) we could come up with the least likely guests for a cover... Such as the guy who played ox the football player... even mr dewey could be on! Or the guy who played that hot hollywood actor that wanted to do an anti-drug ad at bayside, only to smoke the weed and ask kelly if she was interested. That was prob one of those "special" episodes.

I turn 28 wednesday, I LOVED sbtb when I was young. Oh, someone had mentioned something about a sequel, like 90210, there was one - sbtb: the new class. Basically the same characters with new actors. I didn't watch too long, but the spinoff lasted longer than the original, cause they kept replacing characters, except belding.
